Lamar Johnson Biography

Lamar Johnson is a supremely talented Canadian dancer and performer who has carved out a niche for himself in the entertainment industry as well as in the hearts of millions of fans. A really interesting thing about him is the fact that he is self-taught and has mastered complex dancing skills on his own, without any professional help! His nickname—Flipz—has been rightly assigned due to his ability to perform back flipping and tumbling with zero difficulty. Though his career began years ago at the tender age of nine, when he debuted as Little Man in a film called ‘Honey’, he eventually rose to fame with his character, West, which he portrayed in the famous TV show, ‘The Next Step’. The super hit dance series that was aired on the Family Channel established Lamar Johnson as one of the prominent prodigies of the dance industry. Since then, Lamar has proved his worth as a prized gem of an entertainer by appearing on BET’s ‘106 & Park’ and also on ‘America’s Most Talented Kid Dancers’ where he had to compete with fellow dancers.
