Laura Alvarez is the wife of British politician Jeremy Corbyn. She is a banker and human rights lawyer from Mexico who grew famous after marrying Jeremy Corbyn. Laura’s early career involved studying law in Mexico, and she later started working as a banker to help rural communities. After marrying Corbyn, she gave up her banking career and moved to England. In London, Laura had a brief stint as a humans-right activist and worked for the National Commission of Human Rights Commission as the administrator. She is often seen speaking at various debates and seminars. After marrying Jeremy, she decided to do something more personal. She started the coffee beans store, Café Mam, to ensure fair-trade practices are implemented in the export of coffee beans from Mexico. She is currently the owner of the company. Despite being in the limelight for many years, Laura is reserved about her private life and rarely talks about her relationship. Instead, she is an active crusader for the human-rights movement and often voices her opinions in public forums.
