Lauren Hashian Biography

Lauren developed an interest in music early, probably inspired by musical pursuits of her father American musician Sib Hashian who earned fame as drummer of the American rock band ‘Boston’. Her father replaced Jim Masedea, the original drummer of ‘Boston’ in 1975. Her passion for music evolved as she grew up and led her to become a singer and song-writer. She is attached with a website of ‘SoundCloud’, a music and podcast streaming platform, as singer-songwriter. She often collaborates with her sister Aja Hashian, a songwriter, writing and producing music. She took part in the 2005 American reality series ‘R U That Girl’ hosted by T-Boz and Chilli, members of ‘TLC’, an all-girl R&B group. Although Lauren made it to the finals of the UPN program, she couldn’t win the competition. That year she shared stage with her father in a special concert held by Sib with guitarist Barry Goudreau. In 2011 Lauren and Aja collaborated with hip- hop artist, YaBoi Shad that saw her sing and co-write the song ‘Only You’. She also performed for blues rock band ‘Ernie and the Automatics’ where her father was associated as drummer.

She garnered much media attention as the new girlfriend of ‘The Rock’ whom she first met in Boston in 2006 while the latter was shooting for the film ‘The Game Plan’ (2007). Although Dwayne was married to his college sweetheart Dany Garcia at that time with whom he has a daughter Simone Alexandra, his marriage of around ten years was on the rocks. Eventually the couple divorced amicably in 2007 following which Dwayne started dating Lauren. Although speculations did the rounds that he broke up his marriage for Lauren, Dwayne denied such rumours which now seem to be uncalled for as both Dwayne and Lauren maintain a good rapport with Dany.

Whether helping Dwayne come out of depression after divorce, comforting him following his friend Paul Walker’s death or encouraging him to move on after a few flop films, Lauren has stood beside him through all thick and thin. Following his meteoric rise in Hollywood, Dwayne mentioned “That doesn’t happen unless the home life is solid”. The love birds prefer to keep their personal matters to themselves instead of divulging them on any media platform. Lauren also does not appear frequently on the red carpet with Dwayne. She was however seen with him in few occasions including during premier of his films ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ in 2013 and ‘Hercules’ in 2014; and at the 87th Academy Awards ceremony in 2015. Lauren is quite active on Instagram like Dwayne and has already garnered around 170 k followers on her account.

Lauren Hashian was born on September 8, 1984, in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, US, to John Thomas "Sib" and Suzanne Hashian. While her father was a drummer, her mother was a Dallas Playboy Club Bunny. She has one brother Adam and one sister Aja.

Lauren Hashian and Dwayne Johnson welcomed her first child, Jasmine Johnson, on December 16, 2015. The couple was blessed with their second child, Tiana Gia Johnson, in 2018.

Lauren Hashian and Dwayne Johnson tied the knot on August 18, 2019, in Hawaii. Presently, Lauren has taken a hiatus from her musical pursuits to take care of her kids.
