Lauryn Shannon Biography

Lauryn Shannon is a reality television star who became known for appearing in 24 episodes of TLC Network’s reality series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo (2012-2014) together with her family. The show featured the life of the former child beauty pageant contestant Alana Honey Boo Boo Thompson (Lauryn’s younger sister) and her family through their day-to-day life. Earlier, Lauryn was also a part (though uncredited) of the reality series Toddlers & Tiaras. Between 2017 and 2021, she was seen in the five seasons of We Tv’s reality series Mama June: From Not to Hot. This series followed the weight loss journey of her mother Mama June Shannon. In addition, in 2015, she was also seen in the music video Alana Thompson: Movin' Up! (feat. Adam Barta & Lauryn Shannon) and in an episode of documentary series Inside Edition.

Lauryn Shannon was born as Lauryn Mychelle Shannon on 7 January 2000, in Georgia and was raised in the small rural town McIntyre. Her mother’s name is June Shannon and she has three sisters named Alana, Jessica and Anna.

In May 2018, she married Joshua B. Efird. The couple have two children – a daughter named Ella Grace Efird who was born in December 2017 and a son named Bentley who they welcomed in July 2021.
