Lev Cameron Khmelev is an American dancer, actor, and social media celebrity. He is best known for his brief stint as a professional dancer on the first and only season of ABC’s dance competition reality series ‘Dancing with the Stars: Juniors’. Originally from France, Lev began dancing when he was five years old. He started with ballroom and later learned other styles as well. In 2015, he made his acting debut in the short film ‘And the Tiara Goes To...’ In the following year, he garnered widespread attention after appearing in the music video for Justin Timberlake’s song ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’. Lev’s cinematic debut happened with the 2019 comedy-drama ‘Ham on Rye’. Following his appearance on ‘Dancing with the Stars: Juniors’, he also was featured in two episodes of the main show, ‘Dancing with the Stars’. Lev’s mainstream popularity as a dancer has made him a prolific figure on social media as well. He has over 1.7 million followers on Instagram and about 2.3 million subscribers on YouTube. He has also appeared on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and ‘Little Big Shots’.

Rise to Fame

Lev Cameron took part as a contestant in the 13th season of Fox’s dance competition reality series ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, also known as ‘So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation’ (2016). He made it to the Top 30 before he was eliminated from the show. In 2017, he participated in the second season of the NBC variety show ‘Little Big Shots’ with his partner Sofia Sachenko.

In 2018, Lev Cameron joined the roster of the professional dancers of ‘Dancing with the Stars: Juniors’, a spin-off of ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ (2005-present). While it was cancelled after only one season, the participants, including Lev, have gone on to do other things. His celebrity partner on it was ‘Master Chef Junior’ winner Addison Osta Smith, and they were mentored by South African dancer Keo Motsepe. On October 7, 2018, Lev and Smith performed cha-cha-cha and were one of two couples eliminated in the first round along with professional dancer Hailey Bills and her celebrity partner and Sarah Palin's grandson, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston Palin.
Lev Cameron debuted as an actor in the 2015 short film ‘And the Tiara Goes To...’ portraying a character credited as the basketball boy/school boy. In the following year, he guest-starred as Henry in a season-four episode of FYI’s horror series ‘My Haunted House’. Later that year, he acted with Justin Timberlake in the music video for the latter’s track, ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’. In an interview in September 2019, Lev spoke about his experience of working with Timberlake. According to him, while he did not “meet Timberlake that much”, they did have a conversation. Also in 2016, he appeared in two short films, ‘8 1/2’ and ‘Me + You’. In 2017, he was cast in two miniseries, ‘555’ and ‘Evil Things’ and two short films ‘Piano’ and ‘Untrafficked’.
In 2019, Lev Cameron made his cinematic debut in the comedy-drama film ‘Ham on Rye’. Directed by Tyler Taormina, the film revolves around a group of teenagers who undergo a bizarre rite of passage at the local deli. Lev portrayed a character named Squirgly Dag. In the same year, he acted in the short film ‘Boys Ain’t Shit’ and the music video for Indi Star’s ‘Just Might Dance’.
Lev has stated that the most challenging dance styles for him are tap and contemporary. His role models are John Travolta, Timberlake, Marty Kudelka, and Kenny Wormald, to name a few.

The oldest post on Lev’s Instagram handle dates back to March 8, 2015. In the ensuing years, he has garnered a significant fan base on the platform. He set up his self-titled YouTube channel on January 1, 2018, and posted the first video, titled ‘My Crush Reacts to Funny Assumptions about Me “Instagram Challenge” | Lev Camron, Piper Rockelle’, on November 17, 2019. Since then, he has uploaded several other videos, in most of which he collaborates with his “crush” Piper Rockelle, who also makes regular appearances on his Instagram account. In May 2020, the two officially started dating eachother.

Lev has a TikTok account as well, and he has accumulated over two hundred thousand followers and more than two million likes on it to date.

Family & Personal Life
Lev Cameron was born on October 11, 2005, in France. At some point, he moved to the United States of America with his family. After attending preparatory school, he passed the CHSPE, or California High School Proficiency Exam, and subsequently started taking online classes at Los Angeles Valley College.
He began dancing when he was five years old and eventually realised that he wanted to do it for the rest of his life. Ballroom was the first style in which he received training. It was only in 2019 that he was exposed to the training of other styles of dancing. As he takes online courses, he has been able to balance his education with his dancing.
His dream place to travel is France because he was born there. He can speak a little bit of French.
