Voicing Her Concern
After the ‘Sandy Hook Elementary School’ shooting, which occurred on December 14, 2012, Julianne Moore and a few other women wanted to do something to stop such horrific incidents. Hence, Julianne lent her support to Shannon Watts, who had come up with a nonpartisan group called ‘Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense.’ Julianne then became the creative council of another gun violence prevention movement called ‘Everytown for Gun Safety.’ Liv was subsequently encouraged by her mother to join the group as an activist. Liv is now part of the group’s latest branch ‘Students Demand Action.’ She often takes part in rallies and protests, demanding action against campus shootings.
