Lola Ponce is an Argentine actress, singer, songwriter, composer, and model. Born in a musical family, she achieved fame following the release of her debut album 'Inalcanzable', which made her very popular in Argentina and Latin America. She earned accolades as an actor for playing the role of Esmeralda in the musical 'Notre-Dame de Paris', which made her a star in Italy. She later acted in a number of telenovela, TV series and movies including 'Sin código' (Without Code), 'Polvere' (Powder), 'Colpo di fulmine' (Love at First Sight), 'Le due facce dell'amore' (The Two Faces of Love), and 'La bellezza del somaro' (Love & Slaps). Her most well-known recent work is the American soap opera 'The Talisman', in which she appeared alongside her future husband Aarón Díaz. She has released four albums so far – 'Inalcanzable', 'Fearless', 'Il diario di Lola' and 'Lola' – performing songs in Spanish, Italian and English. She won the San Remo Festival with the song 'Colpo di fulmine' which she performed with Giò Di Tonno. She has also worked as a model at various points in her career, representing a number of clothing and fashion brands.

Childhood & Early Life
Paola Fabiana Ponce was born on June 25, 1977, in Capitán Bermúdez, Santa Fe Province, near the city of Rosario, Argentina. Her father, Hector Ponce, is of Italian origin, while her mother María is Spanish.
Both her father and her grandfather, Osvaldo Fresedo, were musicians. Her parents noticed her singing talent and her intense voice when she was only three years old.
She has a sister named Claudia and a brother named Alejandro. At the age of eight, she formed a musical duo with her brother, performing folklore songs. Her brother later became a musician, author and music teacher.
As a child, she started participating in a number of important festivals in Latin America as a singer, and continued throughout her teenage days. She enrolled in University of Buenos Aires, but later dropped out to focus fully on her music career.

Acting Career
After completing high school, Lola Ponce auditioned as a singer for the casting of a local Buenos Aires channel and was selected as a double on the series 'De la nuca' in 1997. The next year, her acting career reached a new height after she appeared on the children's musical 'Chiquititas', created by award winning producer and actress Cris Morena.
In 2002, she moved to Verona, Italy, to act in the musical 'Notre-Dame de Paris', by Italian singer-songwriter Ricardo Cocciante. She continued to portray the character Esmeralda in about 600 productions of the play till September 2008, when she decided to leave it.
She next participated in the Italian television program 'Ma il cielo è semper più blu', hosted by Giorgio Panariello. In 2004, she acted in ten episodes of the Argentine telenovela 'Without code', starring Adrián Suar , Nancy Dupláa and Nicolás Cabré.
She made her film debut with the 2009 movie 'Polvere '. The same year, she hosted the 'Mai Dire Grande Fratello Show' with Mago Forest and appeared on the miniseries 'Butta the Moon 2'.
She returned to Argentina in 2010 to participate in the show 'Dancing for a Dream 2010'. That year, she played the lead role in the modern opera 'I promessi sposi' and acted in the film 'Colpo di fúlmine' with Roberto Farnesi.
For six episodes during 2010, she portrayed the character of Jessica in the Italian telenovela 'Le due facce dell'amore'. The same year she played the love interest of Italian actor and director Sergio Castellito in his film 'La bellezza del somaro'.
She played the villain Lucrecia Negrete in the telenovela 'El talisman', which also starred her husband Aaron Diaz.
Singing Career
In 1999, Lola Ponce met producer Oscar Mediavilla through photographer José Luis Massa. She signed a recording contract with Mediavilla and started working on her debut album as a singer with musician Joaquín Galán.
In 2001, she released her first studio album, 'Inalcanzable', which was produced by Mediavilla and Galán and recorded in Los Angeles. She worked with musicians like Abraham Laboriel, Michael Thompson and Álex Acuña for the album and appeared alongside Argentine actor, Mariano Martinez, on the music video.

In 2004, she relocated to Rome, Italy and released her second album, 'Fearless', which was also her first album in English. She earned critical acclaim in Europe with the album and was invited as one of the international guests to sing at the Sanremo Music Festival.
Her performance of the Gianna Nannini song 'Colpo di fulmine' with Italian singer Giò Di Tonno won at the 2008 Sanremo Music Festival. Later that year, she released her third album, 'Il diario di Lola', and went with Gio di Tonno on Perdutamente Noi Live Tour around Italy.
In June 2009, she performed at the Latin American Festival in Milan. Along with Gio di Tonno, she also recorded the song 'I know' for the soundtrack of the Italian version of the Disney film 'The Sleeping Beauty' for a special 50th anniversary edition.
In late 2011, she recorded the duet 'It does not reach my heart' with Argentine tenor Eduardo Bosio. On December 15, she released her fourth album, 'Lola', for which she also wrote the lyrics.
In May 2012, she introduced her newest single, 'Coqueta', during the 'Long Beach Gay Parade' in Los Angeles. For the album, she collaborated with Mexican actor and singer Aarón Díaz, who later became her husband. She recorded the duet 'Momento perfecto' with Argentine singer Nico Zuviría and released it in August 2012.
Modeling Career
In 2009, she started promoting the hairstylist Cool Cuts, which she continued till 2011. In 2010, she became the face of the Miss Bikini Original, for which she turned into a fashion designer with her own bikini line called 'With Love. Lola'.
She also represented the lingerie line Selu in its advertising campaigns during 2010-11. She was the face of the Italian sportswear brand, VIP on Board, in 2011. She collaborated with Italian model, Clizia Incorvaia, to launch the clothing line 'Girls Speak'.
Major Works
The musical 'Notre-Dame de Paris' gave Lola Ponce international fame for the first time. The play, which was later broadcast on RAI in 2003, recorded more than 6 million viewers.

In 2012, she started dating her 'El Talisman' co-star Aarón Díaz. She gave birth to her first child, a daughter named Erin Díaz, on February 27, 2013. They welcomed their second daughter, Regina, on August 16, 2014. The couple got married in a private ceremony in Morocco in June 2015.
