Lucas Veintimilla has over a million followers on his Instagram handle. He has posted very few posts on his Instagram handle so far and they are mainly selfies and lifestyle posts. His fame, however, is due to the fact that he is a brilliant student who has participated in several local science fairs and won awards for the same. He has not only been featured on local news articles for his academic achievements, but also received the President's Award for Academic Excellence in 2019.

Lucas Veintimilla completed his elementary and middle school education from Saint Peter’s School, a private catholic school, from where he graduated as a top student of his class in 2019. In September 2020, he was accepted into Don Bosco Preparatory High School, an all-boys private catholic high school in Ramsey, New Jersey. At Don Bosco, he is involved in several activities, such as serving as an Admissions and Campus Tour Guide, and is also a member of the Robotics Team, International Relief Club, Unity Moving Forward, and Pro-Life Club Board. He was inducted into the Spanish National Honor Society in May 2021. He mentioned on his LinkedIn profile that in fall 2022, he will be moving from New York to Massachusetts to pursue his senior year of high school at another private school.

Lucas Veintimilla, who has always been passionate about environmental science, began working on various science projects that have a positive impact on others and the environment when he was in the fifth grade. Since then, he has participated in local science fairs every year and has secured the first place at school science fairs each year as well. This achievement helped him qualify for the Dutchess County Regional Science Fair, where he has been presenting his science projects for the past six years since 2015. In 2016, as a fifth-grade student, he won the third place at the regional science fair and was mentioned with other student scientists in an article by the Poughkeepsie Journal. Later that year, he was again mentioned in another article by the publication in a list of grade 6-8 students who had made submissions for the 2016 Scary Stories Contest.

Lucas Veintimilla was born on August 11, 2004 in Poughkeepsie, New York, United States. He has Asian-American, Filipino and Italian ancestry and comes from a highly academic multicultural family with several graduates from Ivy League schools. His mother, Ma. Virgel Morgia Nunag, who graduated with a master's degree from Columbia University in 1998, taught at New York University as an adjunct clinical instructor before becoming a registered nurse. His father is an engineer. His uncle, Judge William Francis Kuntz, is a Harvard graduate who studied at Harvard Law School after completing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Harvard University and later did his Ph.D. in Philosophy from there as well. Another of his uncles, Dr. Eric W. Kuntz, MD, earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Princeton University. One of his cousins graduated from Cornell University, while another is studying at Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science. Like many of his close relatives, Lucas also hopes to complete his higher education from an Ivy League school someday. He has been raised as a devout Catholic.

American actress Michelle Veintimilla, known for her role in the Fox series Gotham, is his cousin.
