During his training as a boxer, a video was recorded of Luis Coronel where he was seen singing in the ring for his rumored girlfriend. Career

Luis Coronel began his professional career as a musician at the age of 16 when Del Records signed him. He released his first album, ‘Con la Frente en Alto’, in September 2013, which climbed the Regional Mexican Albums Billboard chart to reach the top spot in three weeks. The album was certified gold for selling 30,000 copies in Latin by the Recording Industry Association of America. In 2014, he won the ‘New Artist of the Year’ award at the Latin Billboard Music Awards. Coronel was also nominated for the ‘Male Artist of the Year’ in the regional Mexican category at the 27th Lo Nuestro Awards in 2015.

In 2016, he released his second album, ‘Quiero Ser Tu Dueño’. It too reached the number one spot on the Top Latin Albums chart. This album helped him enter the Top 40 of the Main Album charts. His album won the Regional Mexican Album of the Year and helped him earn the Regional Mexican Male Artist of the Year in the same year at Premio Lo Nuestro.

He released his next album, ‘Ahora Soy Yo’, in October 2017 and it was produced by Sony Music Latin. The album led him to debut at number one on Regional Mexican Albums and Latin Albums Sales.

As of May 2019, he has over 2.1 million followers on Instagram, 5 million followers on Facebook, 1 million subscribers on YouTube, and 400,000 thousand followers on Twitter.
