Luke Evans is a well-known Welsh actor, famous for appearing in the movie ‘Clash of the Titans,’ a 2010 remake of the 1981 film of the same name. He is also popular for performing in several of London's West End productions like ‘Miss Saigon,’ ‘Rent,’ and ‘Piaf.’ Besides this, he has also done numerous films, such as ‘Fast & Furious 6,’ ‘The Hobbit,’ ‘Immortals,’ ‘The Raven,’ ‘The Three Musketeers,’ and ‘The Girl on the Train’ to name a few. Evans has also played the role of ‘Dracula’ in a dark fantasy action-horror film titled ‘Dracula Untold.’ He even appeared as ‘Gaston’ in the live action adaptation of Disney's ‘Beauty and the Beast’ for which he received a ‘Teen Choice Award.’ Talking about television, the versatile actor has worked in the series ‘The Great Train Robbery.’ These and many other contributions of the actor helped him earn the respect and admiration of his audience. Luke Evans started his stage career in 2000. He then appeared in several of London's West End productions, such as ‘Taboo,’ ‘La Cava,’ ‘Miss Saigon,’ ‘Rent,’ and ‘Avenue Q.’ After this, he played his most significant theatre role ‘Vincent’ in a play titled ‘Small Change.’ Evans then made his film debut in ‘Clash of the Titans,’ a 2010 remake. Following this, he appeared in the movie ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll.’ In 2011, the actor did a number of films, including ‘Blitz,’ ‘The Three Musketeers,’ ‘Immortals,’ and ‘Flutter.’ The following year, he was featured in the movies ‘Ashes’ and ‘The Raven.’ He also appeared in the horror flick ‘No One Lives’ as well as in the high fantasy adventure movie ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.’
After this, Luke Evans appeared in the action film ‘Fast & Furious 6’ in 2013. The same year, he also appeared in two episodes of the TV series ‘The Great Train Robbery.’ He then portrayed the famous vampire ‘Dracula’ in ‘Dracula Untold’ which narrated the titular character's origin story. In 2015, the actor did two movies, namely ‘Furious 7’ and ‘High-Rise.’ The following year, he appeared in films, such as ‘Message from the King’ and ‘The Girl on the Train.’ In 2017, Evans appeared as ‘Gaston’ in the live action adaptation of Disney's ‘Beauty and the Beast.’ The same year, he also portrayed the character of ‘Owen Shaw’ in ‘The Fate of the Furious’ and then played ‘William Moulton Marston’ in ‘Professor Marston & the Wonder Women.’ In 2018, he played ‘Emile’ and ‘Lewis’ in ‘State Like Sleep’ and ‘10x10’ respectively. The same year, Evans also played ‘John Moore’ in ten episodes of period drama TV series ‘The Alienist.’ The following year, he starred in five feature films, including Roland Emmerich’s epic war movie ‘Midway.’

Luke Evans was born on 15 April 1979, in Pontypool, Wales, UK, to David Evans and Yvonne Evans. He attended ‘The London Studio Centre’ after winning a scholarship. He graduated from the same in the year 2000. In 2002, Evans publicly stated that everyone knew that he is gay and that he has never tried to hide this fact.
