Madeline Lloyd Bio

Madeline Lloyd had joined YouTube shortly before turning 10 and was active on her original channel for a couple years. However, her proper social media career started in the eighth grade when she was inspired to join Instagram after witnessing the popularity of one of her seniors on the platform. She started posting pictures of herself, but shortly after, shifted focus towards short tutorials covering makeup, hairstyles, nail art and cooking. One of her videos about making a simple hair bow became very popular. She next joined YouTube and started posting longer videos on beauty and fashion. However, she reportedly deleted most of her early videos after being pestered by her schoolmates. She became active on YouNow in 2014 following in the footsteps of her twin brother Drew, who had already gained popularity on the live broadcasting service. However, her early streams suffered from poor viewership, presumably because she followed her brother a bit too much and because she was not very active. Nevertheless, she quickly realized her shortcomings and rectified those by bringing in variety and originality into her content and also became more active, even hosting a 24-hour live-stream. Her streams dressed up as a man were particularly popular on the platform. Her trip to VidCon 2015 and her presence at the “Press Play Tour” with her brother further helped in expanding her fan base.

Madeline Lloyd had joined YouTube on February 27, 2008 with the channel Maddiebug03 on which she posted several videos with her friends for the next few years. However, she later lost access to the channel and created another channel in August 2012. Even though she has been active on the channel ever since, she has either deleted or made private several of her earlier videos. The earliest video currently on the channel is a “Smoothie Challenge” from January 2016 featuring her brother Drew. In another video the next month, she recreated one of her videos from 2010 from her original channel. Around that time, she had less than 10K subscribers on her channel. Regardless, she continued to upload videos regularly, including vlogs, pranks, challenges, beauty and makeup tutorials, and several Drive with Me videos often featuring her family members. She also started featuring her boyfriend, Stephen Lloyd, in April 2017, and even created a couple’s channel titled “Madeline and Stephen” in the next month. While both her channels continued to grow, she eventually stopped posting on her solo channel in November 2019. She now regularly uploads content on her couple’s channel, where she is the creative mind behind the concepts, while her now-husband Stephen, a film student, covers most of the filming.

Madeline Lloyd was born as Madeline Phillips on March 4, 1998, in Granbury, Texas, United States. Her parents are Bob and Pam Phillips. She has a twin brother named Drew, and according to her school graduation video, she has three more brothers named Jared, Sam and Brandon. She graduated from school in May 2016. She started college shortly after, but lost one semester while focusing on social media. She joined a new college in September 2017, and in August 2019, she announced changing her major from Education to Psychology. She graduated from college on December 10, 2021.

In 2015, Madeline Lloyd was in a relationship with fellow YouNow star Nick Bean and they were dubbed as “Nadeline” by their fans. They often created videos together and became infamous after making a flirtatious broadcast in September 2015. The two separated in November that year, for which Madeline blamed his obsession with fan-girls. They briefly patched up after he publicly apologized in January 2016, but parted ways the next month. She immediately fell for Stephen Lloyd after meeting him in a Chick-fil-A drive-through in early 2017 and her reaction was actually caught on camera. They were later introduced by a common friend named Jeremy and started dating shortly after. The couple got engaged in May 2019 and married on September 12, 2020.
