Maite Perroni Beorlegui was born on March 9, 1983 in Mexico City, Mexico. Her father, Javier Perroni, had a transferable job and at the time of her birth he was posted in Mexico City. Her mother’s name was Maite Beorlegui.
Maite was born eldest of her parents’ three children, having two younger brothers named Adolfo and Francisco. Among them, Adolfo is three years younger to her while Francisco is junior by nine years.
When Maite, lovingly called Mai, was eleven months old, her father was transferred to Guadalajara, the capital of the state of Jalisco in Mexico. There they lived for twelve years, returning to Mexico City thereafter.
Maite had a normal childhood spent in the close company of her brothers. She was a very obedient, dutiful and polite girl; but not without a streak of rebellion. Once at the age of eleven, she took her father’s car without permission and went on a drive with her brother.
A romantic child, she adored history; but did not like physics. Even during this early period, she showed an aptitude for music, dancing and acting, regularly taking part in school programs.
As a child, she also appeared in number of TV commercials and in a few music videos. She also participating as a dancer in a Disney Channel show. By the time she left school, she had made up her mind to become an actor.
In 2000, soon after graduating from school, Maite signed up for a three-year course at Centro de Educación Artístic, an entertainment institution located in Mexico City, with acting as her major. Run by the country's major media conglomerate, Televisa, it was set up to meet the company’s requirement for actors.
Maite must have been a very good student. Although she had enrolled for a three-year course, she completed it within two years and graduated from Centro de Educación Artístic in 2003.

Career
Maite Perroni made her acting debut with ‘Rebelde’ (Rebel), a Mexican telenovela produced by Televisa. In it, she portrayed the role of Guadalupe "Lupita" Fernández, one of the six protagonists, a teenage girl from a lower class family studying at the fictitious Elite Way School.
‘Rebelde’, based on a famous Argentinean novela ‘Rebelde Way’, was a huge success, running for three seasons, airing 440 episodes. It started in 2004 and the final episode was broadcast in June 2006.
On November 30, 2004, shortly before the premiere of ‘Rebelde’, Perroni and few other members of the cast released an album called ‘Rebelde’. Its success led to the formation of a musical group called RBD (abbreviation for "ReBelDe”).
RBD was officially formed on October 30, 2004. Eventually they became one of the most successful Latin pop groups, selling millions of copies worldwide. They also went on number of world tours.
RBD’s success led to her next project, ‘RBD: La familia', in which she appeared as May. The production was complete by the first quarter of 2007 and the first episode was aired on March 14, 2007. It lasted for only thirteen episodes, ending on June 13, 2007.
In 2007, she composed ‘Tal Vez Mañana’ for RBD's fifth studio album, ‘Empezar Desde Cero’, released simultaneously in Mexico and the United Sates on November 20, 2007. She also sang solo on the title track for the album.
In 2008, she appeared in the role of the protagonist, María de Jesus, in ‘Cuidado con el ángel’ (‘Don't Mess with an Angel’), also singing three songs, ‘Esta Soledad’, ‘Separada De Ti’, and ‘Contigo’ for her character. The show established her as a popular actress.
Also in 2008, she went on her fifth and final world tour with RBD. Called ‘Gira Del Adiós’, the tour started on November 1 and ended on December 21, visiting different South and North American cities during this period. RBD was disbanded shortly after that.
Her next television project was ‘Mi Pecado’ (‘Burden of Guilt’). In it, she appeared in the role of the protagonist, Lucrecia Córdoba Pedraza de Huerta, recording the opening song ‘Mi Pecado’ for it. Opening on June 15, 2009, the show ran for 110 episodes and closed on November 13, 2009.

In 2010, she performed in the sixth episode of the third session of ‘Mujeres asesinas’. Also in the same year, Perroni released her single ‘No Vuelvas’ and went on her first solo tour, ‘Maite Perroni Brazilian Tour 2010’.
In 2010, she also starred in ‘Triunfo del amor’ (Triumph of Love), appearing as María Desamparada / María Iturbide Gutiérrez, recording ‘A Partir De Hoy’ with Marco di Mauro for it. Released on October 25, 2010, the series ran for 176 episodes before ending on June 26, 2011.
The production of Perroni’s next telenovola, ‘Cachito de Cielo’ (‘Sent from Heaven’) started from April 2012. Sometime now, she released a single called ‘Te daré mi corazón’. The number was used in the show. Also in 2012, she debuted in film, appearing as Ninfa in ‘El arribo de Conrado Sierra’.
Originally released on June 11, 2012, ‘Cachito de Cielo’ became controversial because of religious issues and therefore ended on November 9. In the following year, it was re-telecast and Perroni, in the role of Renata Landeros De Franco, received great ovation.
In February 2013, Perroni moved to New York, preparing for the recording of her solo album, ‘Eclipse de Luna’. On July 16, 2013, she released the lyric video of the first song ‘Tu y Yo’ on her official You Tube channel. The album was finally released on August 23, 2013.
In 2014, Perroni returned to the television with ‘La Gata’ (‘The Stray Cat’). Starring opposite to Daniel Arenas in the role of Esmeralda, she received several nominations for her work.
The ‘La Gata’ also included one of her singles, a bachata song called ‘Vas A Querer Volver’. Both the song and the telenovela were first released in May 2014. In June, she released a duet with Alex Ubago. Entitled, ‘Todo lo que soy’, it was also used in ‘La Gata’.
In August 2015. Perroni appeared in her seventh lead role, as Alicia Gutiérrez López / Lichita in ‘Antes muerta que Lichita’ (‘Anything but Plain’). It was an instant hit, running for 131 episodes from August 24, 2015 to February 21, 2016.
On July 14, 2016, Perroni released her first single called Adicta, performing it at Premios Juventud 2016 (Youth Award), held on the same day. In the same year, she began her second world tour. Called ‘Maite Perroni Tour LOVE’ tour, it started on July 17 at Sao Paulo, Brazil.

In 2016, after performing at Sao Paulo, she toured Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, New York and Guayaquil. Continuing through 2017, she performed twice at Mexico City, also visiting Irapuato, Comitan and Guadalajara. Also in 2017, she appeared as Renée Sánchez Moreno in a comedy telenovela called ‘Papá a toda madre’.
On Fenruary 22, 2018, she resumed her tour, returning to Mexico City, giving a performance at the National Auditorium. She closed the tour on March 21, 2018, when she performed at the Spring Festival in Monterrey, Mexico. She is currently working on her second album.
