Malia Jones was drawn toward water even as an infant, and she began practicing skateboarding as a child. Her mother’s love for the sport influenced her. Malia started competitive surfing when she turned a teenager and made the headlines after winning the girls’ division in the Amateur Surfing Championship in the US when she was just 15 years old. Since then, she has never had to look back as her athletic prowess and stunning beauty landed her many modeling assignments. She was immediately approaching by Surfing Magazine to model for their swimsuit issue, and Jones’s career as a model took off.

In 2002, she was named among the ‘102 Sexiest Women in the World’ by Stuff Magazine. Later in the year, she ranked #72 in the Maxim list of ‘Hot 100 of 2002.’ These only garnered more attention to her name. Malia Jones steadily climbed the ladder by appearing as the lead model and cover model for various popular magazines such as Esquire and Maxim. She was at the peak of her career in the mid-2000s and posed for Sports Illustrated as their swimsuit model. She also worked for many commercials, notably American Express, Capri Sun, Coca-Cola, and Corona Beer. In 2005, she climbed the rank to #44 in Maxim’s list of ‘Hot 100 of 2005’.
