Malika Haqq Biography

Malika Haqq shot to fame by appearing in Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the reality television series which focused on the personal and professional lives of the Kardashian–Jenner blended family. As an old-time close friend of Khloe Kardashian, she invariably became a part of the show since its second season in 2008 and continued with it till 2018 (30 episodes). In 2009-2010, she appeared as herself and Khloe’s friend in few episodes of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami. In 2011-2012, she joined the main cast members of Khloé & Lamar which focused on Khloe Kardashian’s then-marriage with NBA player Lamar Odom. In 2015, together with her sister Khadijah Haqq, she appeared in the short lived (cancelled after eight episodes) spinoff Dash Dolls that followed the employees (known as Dash Dolls) of Dash clothing boutiques owned by the Kardashian sisters. During that period, the Haqq sisters were supposedly co-managing the store.

One of her other significant appearances in reality series came in 2018 when she participated in the 21st season of Celebrity Big Brother UK in 2018. She was evicted from the house on Day 29. Other than these, over the period of time, she has made quick appearances as herself in numerous projects like Omarion: Speedin (Video short-2010), Punk'd (TV Series-2012), I Am Cait (TV Series documentary- 2015) and Famously Single (TV Series-2017). In 2021, she collaborated with her sister for a television documentary The First Lady of Motown: The Claudette Robinson Story.

Before she became known as Khloe Kardashian’s best friend and a reality star, Malika Haqq had already worked in numerous projects as an actress. Her debut came way back in 1983, as a baby, in 80s sitcom Benson. Post that, she returned to screen in the 2004, as a guest star in an episode of Strong Medicine. The following year, she got her big break in the comedy movie Sky High where she starred along with her sister Khadijah. This was followed by roles in a comedy crime drama film ATL and a small role in television series Entourage in 2006. She then went on to star in an episode each of television series Las Vegas (2007) and Real Husbands of Hollywood (2013); appeared in the sci-fi- fantasy drama 20 Years After (2008) and became a part of the television movie Somebody Help Me 2 (2010). Her latest, as an actress, was in the 2016 comedy movie Definitely Divorcing.

In 2019, she collaborated with Khloe Kardashian and Becca Cosmetics to launch a limited makeup collection called Becca BFF. The following year, together with her sister Khadijah, she began appearing in Kin Community’s Facebook Watch series called Side By Side where the sisters discuss life, beauty, love and family. The series became popular and was later shifted to You Tube.

Malika Haqq, herself, also has a huge social media presence with her verified Instagram account @malika being followed by over 5.8 million followers. Through her account, she has endorsed numerous brands like Smile Direct Club and Essentia Water. In 2020, she collaborated with fashion brand, Naked Wardrobe, to launch her Mama Mailka mommy-and-me clothing collection meant for mothers and their infants. She is also the brand ambassador of fashion company Pretty Little Thing.

Apart from these, in 2015, she appeared in the television commercial of the Do Something organisation. Earlier, along with her sister, she featured in Pizza Hut commercial Pick Your Pair.

Malika Haqq was born on 10 March 1983, in Los Angeles, California. She has an identical twin sister Khadijah Haqq. Her family includes her brother, Jamal and another set of older twin sisters. Unfortunately, one of the elder twins passed away at the age of eighteen. Malika is very close with her mother.

She was earlier in a relationship with rapper O.T. Genasis; however, they separated later. The ex-couple, though have a son, Ace Flores, together who was born in March 2020.
