Marija Žeželj Bio

Marija was in elementary school when she started following 'YouTube' channels on lifestyle and fashion. Some of her favorites were British "YouTubers" Zoella and Bethany Mota. Inspired by them, Marija began her career as a "YouTuber." She created her self-titled channel in December 2014 and posted the first video in August 2015. The channel hosts vlogs related to lifestyle, fashion, and music. Marija’s father has been associated with the audio–video editing and recording industry for many years. Hence, she was introduced to the basics of vlogging by her father. Soon, her channel caught the attention of many and garnered an impressive fan base. Her channel now has millions of “views” and tons of subscribers. Marija also owns an 'Instagram' account where she has bagged over 651 thousand followers.

In 2016, Marija won 'The Look of the Year' competition in Catania, Italy (Sicily), where she represented her modeling agency, ‘Model Scouting Office.' This opened many doors for her in the world of modeling. The same year, she made her debut as a singer.

Toward the end of 2016, Marija launched her first book, 'My Sweet Life.' The book communicated teenage issues through its central character. The book was published by one of the most famous publishing houses in Serbia, 'Dereta,' owned by 'Volcano Publishing.' Marija attended the 'International Book Fair' in Belgrade the same year, where she signed copies of her novel.

In February 2016, Marija and one her friends recorded a cover version of Justin Bieber’s track 'Love Yourself.’ The video was uploaded on her channel, which now has more than a million “views.” This caught the attention of the representatives of 'Universal Music.’ Marija was invited to their office in Vienna and was offered to collaborate with popular Austrian songwriter and producer duo Andreas Grass and Nikola Paryla, also known as 'Popmaché.' In April 2017, Marija announced that she had signed a contract with 'Universal Music Serbia' (part of the 'Universal Music Group') and that she would soon release the first single on her channel. Later, they created a contemporary pop song titled 'Dance Like Nobody’s Watching,’ which became Marija’s debut release. The title of the track was inspired by one of author William W Purkey’s quotes. The video now has over 18 million “views.”

An acoustic version of Marija’s debut single was released 3 weeks after the release of the original single. The track premiered on June 23, 2017. Later, a remixed version of the song was also released. A few weeks later, Marija released her sophomore single, 'Louder Than A Drum,' for which she again collaborated with 'Popmaché.' She received an ‘Amadeus Austrian Music Award’ for the song. Marija delivered her first live performance at the opening ceremony of the 'Future Park' festival in Belgrade, on December 15, 2017. Marija was featured on the cover of popular lifestyle and fashion journal 'Cosmopolitan' (Serbia) in July 2017.

Marija once visited the 'Coca-Cola WOAH Summer House' in Crete, Greece's largest island. She exclusively performed a new version of ‘Coke’s 'Taste the Feeling' anthem, along with famous Swedish singer Roomie and Polish "YouTuber" duo 'Abstrachuje TV.'

Marija was born on November 20, 1999. She is from Novi Sad, a city in northern Serbia. As a child, Marija wanted to be a volleyball player. She took up volleyball training while growing up. The training continued for 7 years, after which she focused on singing and modeling.
