Childhood & Early Life
She was born on September 15, 1977, in Los Angeles. Her mother, Francine Elaine Maguire, and her father, Raymond Trinidad Ramirez, divorced when Marisa was 4 years old. She has a brother named Marcel.
She initially attended the ‘All Saints Catholic School’ in Rossford, Ohio, and later joined the ‘Ramona Convent Secondary School,’ an all-girls school in Alhambra, California. She graduated school in 1995.

When she was 13, she was spotted by a talent hunter from one of California’s best modeling agencies and thus embarked on a successful modeling stint in both print and commercial media.
By 15, she was already a famous face and had traveled to the major fashion capitals of the world.

In 2000, she bagged the role of ‘Gia Campbell’ in ‘General Hospital.’ She continued with the series for over 2 years, winning several prestigious awards and accolades.
2003 saw her performing demanding roles in ‘CSI: Miami’ and ‘Miracles.’
She starred in her first movie role in 2005, in the horror film ‘All Souls’ Day.’
