Marsha Warfield, born as Marsha Francine Warfield, is an American actress and stand-up comedian. She is possibly best known for appearing as Roz Russell on NBC’s sitcom ‘Night Court’ and as Dr. Maxine Douglas on the TV series ‘Empty Nest’. She has also guest-starred in a number of shows including ‘Riptide’, ‘Clueless’, ‘Living Single’, ‘Family Ties’, ‘Cheers’, ‘Star Dates’, ‘Moesha’, 'Goode Behavior', ‘Mad About You', 'Smart Guy', 'Dave's World' and 'The John Larroquette Show', to name a few. As a stand-up comedian, Warfield has appeared on ‘The Comedy Shop’. She has also hosted ‘The Marsha Warfield Show’. In addition, she served as a writer as well as a performer on the ‘Richard Pryor Show’. The American artiste has contributed to films as well. She has acted in the movies ‘D.C. Cab’, ‘Mask’, ‘The Whoopee Boys’ and ‘Caddyshack II’. Warfield, who got married at the age of 18 and divorced a few months later, is a strong and independent woman in real life.

Marsha Warfield first acted in the television film ‘That Thing on ABC’ in 1978. She then appeared in ‘The Richard Pryor Show’ and the movie ‘D.C. Cab’. In 1984, she got featured in the drama ‘Riptide’. A year later, she did the flick ‘Mask’. After this, she was cast as Rosalind "Roz" Russell in the series ‘Night Court’ in 1986. The same year, the actress appeared in the movie ‘The Whoopee Boys’. After this, she started hosting ‘The Marsha Warfield Show’.
Then from 1993 to 1995, she played the role of ‘Dr. Maxine Douglas’ in ‘Empty Nest’. Around this time, Warfield also appeared in episodes of ‘The Addams Family’, ‘Saved by the Bell: The College Years’ and ‘The John Larroquette Show’ respectively. After this, she guest-starred in a number of TV shows, such as ‘Touched by an Angel’, ‘Cybill’, ‘ABC Afterschool’, ‘Dave's World’, ‘Smart Guy’, ‘Mad About You’, ‘Goode Behavior’, ‘Living Single’, ‘Moesha’, ‘Clueless’, ‘Love Boat: The Next Wave’ and ‘Veronica's Closet’. Marsha Warfield was born as Marsha Francine Warfield on March 5, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. Her father left the family when her younger sister was born and Warfield and her sister were nurtured by her mother Josephine and her step-father James Gordon who worked as a computer operator at a library system.
At 17 Warfield graduated from the Chicago’s Calumet High school. She also attended Morgan Park High School. At the age of 18, the actress got married. However, she divorced just after a few months. Warfield has her own official website and is also available on Twitter.
