Matt Stonie Bio

Matt Stonie’s first Major League Eating competition was Stockton Deep Fried Asparagus Championship that was held in 2011. Previously, he had won a lobster roll eating contest that had taken place in New Hampshire. In 2013, he ate a 5.5 pound birthday cake in nine minutes. The same year, he participated in Phantom Gourmet Food Festival and ate 10.5 lb frozen yogurt in just six minutes. Stonie also consumed a 7.5 lb Kookamonger Burger in four minutes, 43 seconds in a competition held on October 26, 2013.

In 2014 he took part in many eating competitions. One was The World Slugburger Eating Championship in which he consumed 43 slugburgers in ten minutes. On July 4, 2015, the American competitive eater defeated Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest winner Joey Chestnut by eating 62 hot dogs. The same year, Stonie ate 25 McDonald's Big Macs in 22 minutes at an event held in San Jose. On July 4, 2016, he came in second to Joey Chestnut at the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest. In this content, he consumed 53 hot dogs as compared to Chestnut's 70.

He also participated in World Silver Dollar Pancake Eating Championship held in Chico, California on May 28, 2016 and munched 113 pancakes in about eight minutes. In 2017, Stonie joined The World Peeps Eating Championship held at National Harbor, Maryland on April 8 and ate 255 Peeps in just five minutes. He also took part in an Æbleskiver eating championship that year and achieved stunning scores. Stonie is also a YouTuber whose channel is immensely popular especially among foodies. His YouTube channel has over 16.4 million subscribers.

Matt Stonie was born as Matthew Kai Stonie on May 24, 1992 in San Francisco, California, United States. He has a younger brother Morgan. He studied at Evergreen Valley High School and later on attended Mission College, majoring in nutrition. Stonie is half European and half Japanese.

Matt Stonie holds the record for eating the most Twinkies in under 6 minutes, showcasing his impressive eating abilities.
