Childhood & Early Life
Matthew Noszka was born on October 27, 1992, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to middle-class parents. He was of Irish, Polish, Swedish, and Spanish descent. His father worked at a construction site. Matthew’s grandfather, Stanley Noszka, was a professional basketball player and played for the ‘Boston Celtics.’ Stanley was also a member of the ‘Pennsylvania State Senate’ for a while.
Matthew grew up as an athletic child and was always interested in fitness and sports. Following in his grandfather’s footsteps, he also began playing basketball in school and was really good at it. Growing up, all he wanted to do was to play basketball.
Matthew was not too good in studies. His mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when he was 11 years old. This was a very difficult moment for the family, especially for Matthew, as he had always been a “mama’s boy.”
Matthew got enrolled at the ‘Chartiers Valley High School’ and kept his love for basketball alive. He was a star on the high-school team and had TJ McConnell as his teammate. TJ is now a professional basketball player, playing for the ‘Philadelphia 76ers.’
As he was not academically good, he found it difficult to get into the universities of his choice. He managed to get enrolled at ‘Point Park University’ on a sports scholarship. In college, he studied business while simultaneously attending classes on performing arts.
He knew he had to perform well in the junior season for him to be considered for the ‘NBA’ drafts in the future. During his summer holidays, Matthew started working at a construction site along with his father. The father–son duo successfully built a deck, and Matthew posted its picture on ‘Instagram,’ totally unaware of how his life would change with that one ‘Instagram’ post.

Career
An agent named Luke Simone came across the photograph and was impressed with Matthew’s strong built and good looks. Luke got in touch with him immediately. Matthew had not even thought of modeling before that. When Luke contacted Matthew in 2014, he was still in college.
He was requested to send a few more photographs and was then called to New York City by ‘Wilhelmina Models,’ a renowned agency. He had a face-to-face audition and was hired. A few days later, Matthew was offered to model for a campaign for one of the world’s leading sports apparel, accessories, and footwear companies, ‘Nike.’
However, it was not easy for him in the beginning. The ‘Nike’ photo shoot was a success. However, when his agent got in touch with a few more companies, Matthew was not deemed fit. He had a heavy built and was asked to lose 30 pounds.
However, starting his career with such a big break did wonders for Matthew’s modeling career. He got several more offers and modeled for brands such as ‘Express,’ ‘Abercrombie & Fitch,’ ‘American Eagle,’ ‘Joe’s Jeans,’ and ‘Ports 1961.’
He has also been a regular runway model for major fashion houses such as ‘Balmain,’ ‘Moschino,’ and ‘Philipp Plein.’ His popularity shot up miraculously, and he became one of the most sought-after models within just 2 years of entering the industry.
He was soon approached by several popular magazines, such as ‘GQ,’ ‘Esquire,’ and ‘CR Fashionbook.’ More recently, in 2017, he was featured in ‘Harper’s Bazaar,’ along with popular musician Rihanna.
Simultaneously, he has also been featured in several international magazines, such as ‘DA MAN,’ ‘MMSCENE,’ ‘L’Optimum.’ He was featured alongside models Jourdan Dunn and Sophia Ritchie in the ‘Winter 2016-2017’ issue of ‘Wonderland.’ He appeared alongside other models in an eight-page photo editorial of the magazine. The photograph was clicked by world-famous fashion photographer Christian Oita.
He has also modeled in the Czech Republic, where he did an exclusive photo shoot for the magazine ‘Reflex.’ His first photo shoot with ‘Reflex’ was in 2015, when he appeared on the magazine’s cover. More recently, he has appeared in their special issue for spring 2017.
As his popularity soared, he was invited to appear on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ in 2015. This contributed to his increasing popularity. He also appeared on ‘ABC News Nightline,’ where he was asked about his miraculous career growth.
He has also been associated with major apparel companies such as ‘Calvin Klein,’ ‘Hugo Boss,’ and ‘Tom Ford.’ He has earned over 800 thousand followers on ‘Instagram.’
Eventually, he started getting film and TV offers. However, acting was not something he considered himself to be good at. He had taken acting classes in college but had no interest in an acting career. After appearing in several auditions over months, he finally made his acting debut with the 2017 drama series ‘Tales.’ He appeared as ‘Brody’ in an episode of the series, titled ‘F*ck the Police.’
He bagged a major acting break in 2018, when he was signed to play a recurring role in the musical drama series ‘Star.’ His role was that of ‘Jackson Ellis,’ an aspiring musician. His role was turned into one of the main characters of the series in its third season.
He is currently managed by ‘Women 360’ and happens to be the only male model in the company.
He owns ‘412 Motorsports,’ a high-end auto-customization and vehicle repair company based in Los Angeles. He is also associated with the ‘REVIVE Project,’ a company he started in partnership with his friends Josh Higgins and Jake Sieber.
