Max Charles is an American film and television actor. Max made his debut in an HBO TV series in 2010 when he was just six years old, and since then has acted in numerous successful TV serials and films. In recent years, the American TV audience has fallen in love with this endearing and charismatic young actor for his portrayal of Zach Goodweather in Guillermo del Toro's ‘The Strain’, for which he received nominations for the ‘Best Performance by a Younger Actor in a Television Series’ at the 2015, 2017 and 2018 ‘Saturn Awards’. A versatile actor, Max Charles lent his voice to the character of Harvey Beaks on the eponymous Nickelodeon animation series. On the big screen, Max Charles has impressed audiences with his performances in films like the ‘Three Stooges’ and ‘The Amazing Spiderman’.

Max Charles commenced his acting career at the tender age of six when he was cast in the ‘Everything Is Broken’ episode in the third season of very popular HBO series ‘True Blood’ in 2010. In the same year, he also appeared in an episode of ‘Raising Hope’, a USA Network sitcom that had a very successful run from 2010 to 2014. He made his film debut in ‘November Christmas’, a TV film broadcast on CBC in 2010.
Thereafter, he acted in the movies ‘Scent of the Missing’ (2011), ‘Unstable’ (2012), ‘The Three Stooges’ (2012), and ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ (2012), which he followed up with ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ in 2014.
In 2011, he acted in an episode each of NBC comedy TV series, ‘Community’ and ‘Hot in Cleveland’, an American sitcom on TV Land. The next year, he made an appearance in an episode of ‘Jessie’, a comedy TV series on ‘Disney TV’ and lent his voice in ‘Robot Chicken’, a stop-motion sketch comedy television series that went on to win five ‘Emmy’ awards.
In 2012, Max Charles landed his first major role when he was cast in ‘The Neighbors’, an American television science fiction sitcom revolving around a family of humans living in an extraterrestrial community. The ABC series had two very successful seasons from September 2012 to April 2014. Max nominated for the ‘Young Artist Award Best Performance in a TV Series - Supporting Young Actor and won the award for ‘Outstanding Young Ensemble in a TV Series’ for his performance in ‘The Neighbors’.
During 2013-14, Max Charles appeared in a number of TV series, such as ‘The Haunted Hathaways’, ‘Rizzoli & Isles’, ‘The Legend of Korra’, ‘Constantine’. He also lent his voice to the characters in the TV series ‘Adventure Time’, ‘Family Guy’, and ‘Elf: Buddy's Musical Christmas’. In 2014, Max Charles had three film releases: ‘The Last Survivors’, ‘American Sniper’ and ‘North Pole’
In 2015, he acted in seven episodes of ‘Lab Rats’, a comedy series aired on Disney XD. In the same year, he also acted in ‘The Strain’, a TV series on FX and portrayed the character of Zack Goodweather from Season 2 to 4. Max received critical acclaim for his acting and was nominated three times (2016, 2017, 2018) for Saturn Awards. Best Performance by a Younger Actor in a Television Series’.
In 2015, Max was highly appreciated for his performance in the animated TV series ‘Harvey Beaks’. He lent voice to the lead character of the same name. In 2016, he lent his voice to the character of ‘Bobby’ in ‘The Angry Birds Movie’ and acted in a voice role the next year in the direct-to-video film ‘Scooby-Doo! Shaggy's Showdown’.
