Mayra Isabel Bio

Mayra Isabel was a creative individual right from her childhood. She used to paint and sketch a lot as a kid. Thanks to her inclination towards art, she developed a liking for make-up when she stepped into her adolescence. Since she was a shy girl, she did not disclose her wish to make a career out of make-up to anyone.

An incident during school changed her mind. During her freshman year in school, a group of girls constantly body-shamed her as she was a little chubby and fat. In order to regain her confidence and prove a point, Mayra Isabel created her first YouTube channel, mayratouchofglam, in 2012, which has now amassed more than two million subscribers.

The channel is meant to upload make-up tutorials, beauty regime, unboxing videos, product reviews, and other things related to fashion. The first video that she uploaded was titled Mermaid Halloween makeup tutorial. In her next video, she taught her viewers a few make-up tricks in order to look like Kim Kardashian. A few of her subsequent videos were mostly make-up tutorials that taught its viewers a bagful of tricks to look like Katy Perry, Beyonce, Selena Gomez, Barbie, Zombie, and a character named Elsa from the movie Frozen.

Mayra Isabel is obsessed with eye makeup, and has posted numerous tutorials on different eye makeup like Arabic, Smokey, Cut Crease, Glitter Eyes, Galaxy, Winged Eyeliner, Cat Eye and many more.

She also has reviewed many products, such as Urban Decay Naked Palette 3, LuxAddiction, Covergirl Ready, and Velour Lashes’ mascara. Mayra’s unboxing videos include Boxycharm Unboxing April, NYX Face Awards Top 30 Unboxing, and Lip Monthly Unboxing.

Mayra Isabel owns a separate channel to post events pertaining to her life. She posted a video when she bought her dream car, Range Rover. In one of the videos, Mayra shared her experience of meeting Kylie Jenner. In 2016, Mayra posted a video which showcased her day out with her mother. Every year, Mayra posts a series of videos, showcasing her Christmas celebrations. She has exclusively titled the series Vlogmas. During one such Christmas celebration, she attended the MAC party which was thrown by the famous makeup artist and fashion vlogger, Patrick Simondac.

Every year, Mayra Isabel posts a video along with Bryan on their love anniversary which falls on June 14th. She was surprised by Bryan in one such video where he proposed marriage to her. Mayra then uploaded her engagement ceremony, bachelorette party, and honeymoon. She also did a tutorial video on her wedding look, which was later uploaded on her second channel.

Mayra has also announced quite a few giveaways, and once organized a meet and greet at Sigma Mall of America. Mayra never misses an opportunity to attend conventions. She was seen walking down the red carpet at the Beautycon Festival which was organized in Los Angeles.

Mayra Isabel was born on February 8, 1994, in Orange County, California. She was raised along with two sisters and three brothers. Her twin sister, Karina, is also a fashion vlogger and has appeared in many of Mayra’s vlogs. Her brother works as an event coordinator and Mayra assists him whenever possible. Mayra is of Hispanic descent and her parents are from Mexico.

Mayra is married to Bryan Renteria, whom she dated for seven long years. They got married in September 2017. In June 2021, the couple revealed that they are expecting their first child. Mayra Isabel wishes to launch her own beauty products in the near future.
