Megan Batoon is an American YouTuber, choreographer and actress who is best known for her eponymous YouTube channel. Batoon is doing so many things on the social media platforms that she is often referred to as the “Millennial Martha Stewart”. From acting to dancing, from DIYs to giving out advice, and from comedy to choreographing, Megan Batoon has done all. Her YouTube channel is full of interesting content that include, dance videos, home DIYs, kitchen organization, home organization, workout vlogs, fashion and beauty vlogs, cooking videos, and personality forward videos. People have fallen in love with her podcast titled, Just a Tip, where she interviews guests and dishes out advice about relevant topics like, mental health, life’s purposes, how to find romance, and how to connect with your spiritual self. Megan Batoon joined YouTube in 2010. Initially, she used YouTube to load clips of her dance classes. Her YouTube dance clips earned her the role of a dancer in Step Up Revolution in 2012.

After her role in Step Up Revolution she packed her bags and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in dancing. In 2012, she also featured in the series, Ladies of Rap. She was a writer for the series, Date-A-Max.

In Los Angeles, Megan Batoon bonded with YouTubers, Ryan Higa and Dtrix, and realized that the importance of expanding her YouTube content.

She knew that in order to expand her outreach, she had to show people what she really is like. With this in mind, Batoon made a video in her kitchen. However, she did not post it for at least three weeks. She edited it till she thought it was perfect and titled it Shark Week Themed Cooking Video. The video went viral and marked the birth of the Millennial Martha Stewart. The year was 2012.

Within a year she had gained thousands of new subscribers on her YouTube channel, but she was not making that much money. That is when she decided to hire a manager. One and a half year later she signed her first brand deal.

In 2015, Batoon starred in Everything Before Us. However, since Megan Batoon was earning mostly off her YouTube channel, she decided to focus on YouTube and other social media platforms. She signed with Fullscreen, which is a multi-channel network, to help fine tune her brand.

Her focus on her social media platforms has really paid off because today she has more than 1.10 (1.14)1 million YouTube subscribers. She is also active on Twitter, where she has more than 110k followers. Batoon also interacts with her fans on Instagram and regularly shares posts with her 768k followers.

The year, 2017 was another milestone for Megan Batoon. She became the first YouTuber to bag a Nike commercial. This was also the year when she launched her own merchandise. It is sold at meganbatoon.com.

If this was not enough, in 2018, Megan Batoon started a podcast titled, Just a Tip. In every episode, listeners get a chance to hear a famous personality discuss a particular incident or event in his/her life and give tips on how to deal with a particular issue.

For example, in her very first episode, Batoon interviews Irene, who is her best friend and assistant, and discuss whether it is okay to date a sibling of your best friend. “First Date Do’s and Don’ts,” “Staying Friends with Your Ex,” “Rejection,” and “Get Inspired,” are some of the topics that Batoon has tackled in her podcasts. She releases a new episode of podcast every Friday.

The year, 2021, marked the debut of World’s Most Amazing Vacation Rentals, which was aired on Netflix. This was the first season and Batoon co-hosted the show with Luis Ortiz and Jo Franco. The show was a hit and fans are eagerly waiting for season two. 

Megan Batoon does not plan to stop anytime soon. In fact, she wants to expand her business and create her own home goods brand. She also plans to write a book in the near future.

Megan Batoon was born on March 29, 1991, in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. Her father, Hyderick Batoon, is a Filipino while her mother, Michele DePompeo, is part Irish and part Polish. She also has two siblings.

Her parents are divorced. She is quite close to her father, who is her biggest supporter and is always the first one to congratulate her on her new endeavors.

Megan Batoon had passion for dance from early on. She and her cousins would choreograph dances for the Fourth of July celebrations. During high school she started learning dancing seriously. She got so good at it that she started teaching dance later on in high school.

After completing high school, she went on to study graphic design. However, dance was her passion and in 2012, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a dancer.

In recent years, Batoon has been keeping her personal life private. However, this was not always the case. In 2014, she was dating Ian Eastwood and her fans would get glimpse of the couple on YouTube and Instagram. He is a member of Ian Eastwood & the Young Lions and Mos Wanted Crew, both of which are dance groups. Their relationship ended in 2016 and since then Batoon has kept her relationships private. In her recent YouTube videos, there are hints that she is in a relationship but she has not shared the identity of that person.
