Megan Everett Biography

Megan Everett was born on March 3, 1976, in Ohio, United States of America. While pursuing high school education, Megan developed interest towards scriptwriting and films. Hence, she attended a summer program organized by the ‘University of Southern California,’ where she learnt the basics of screenwriting. After completing her college education, Megan moved to Ireland where she joined ‘The Script Factory’ in order to improve her skills as a screenwriter.

Megan started her career by joining the development team of ‘Fastnet Films,’ a video production service in Dublin, Ireland. She then joined the famous advertising company, ‘DDB Worldwide,’ as a copy writer. While working at ‘Owens DDB’ in Dublin, Megan got an opportunity to work for world-renowned clients, such as ‘Volkswagen’ and ‘Carlsberg.’ After gaining experience as a copy writer, Megan turned towards scriptwriting. She then ventured into production and bankrolled the 2013 Swedish dance documentary film, ‘Behind the Scenes: The Filming of Bye.’ The documentary, featuring Stellan Skarsgård in an important role, chronicles the making of the television adaptation of a popular dance film titled ‘Bye.’ She then produced a film titled ‘German Autumn,’ an adaptation of Stig Dagerman’s novel of the same name. In March 2014, she joined London’s ‘Knight Hall Agency,’ post which she became active in producing literary works. In September 2017, she came up with her first novel, a children’s book titled ‘Banned from the Zoo.’ She then started working predominantly as a screenwriter, penning a couple of Swedish sci-fi television series. Megan is currently associated with the Swedish entertainment industry as a screenwriter and producer.

Megan Everett married famous Hollywood actor Stellan Skarsgård in January 2009. Stellan Skarsgård is known for his performance in movies, such as ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest,’ ‘Angels & Demons,’ ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,’ and ‘The Avengers.’ Stellan was previously married to physician and actress, My Skarsgård, with whom he had five sons and a daughter. At the time of his wedding with Megan, Stellan’s sons had become established actors.

On April 26, 2009, Megan gave birth to her first child, a son named Ossian Skarsgård. On August 24, 2012, Stellan and Megan were once again blessed with a son whom they named Kolbjörn Skarsgård. Upon the birth of his son, Kolbjörn, Stellan underwent vasectomy, saying that he is more than happy to have eight children. Megan currently lives in Stockholm along with her husband and children. She is also close to her stepchildren and the entire Skarsgård family makes it a point to catch up with each other every now and then. Megan maintains a cordial relationship with Stellan’s first wife as well. In fact, she even enjoys hanging around with My Skarsgård and her children.
