Meghan Rienks Bio

Before her senior year of high school, she was diagnosed with mononucleosis (mono), which forced her to stay at home and that’s how her social media journey began. To combat boredom, she shot a video and uploaded it on YouTube, and the rest is history.

According to Meghan Rienks, she went to college but didn’t like it. In fact, she hated it and felt miserable. She, however, feels that everyone should try to go to college. As she always wanted to act and her college experience was not good, she decided to pursue her career as a content creator.

Meghan had probably never imagined that her YouTube endeavour, which she had started to kill boredom, will become wildly popular for its comic, beauty, fashion, and relationship advice content. Meghan shared the ups and downs of her life, along with numerous beauty and fashion tips - documenting her teenage years for the whole world to see.

This endeavour helped her create an empire of lifestyle content and she leveraged her this popularity to shine on other social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Snapchat.

Getting featured in Teen Vogue’s Top 6 Instagram A-Listers and Allure’s Instagram Influencer of the Year is a testimony to her huge popularity on the photo and video sharing platform.

Meghan enjoys enormous social media popularity; this success inspired her to pen her experiences. She has written a book, You’re Not Special: A (Sort-Of) Memoir, detailing her experience of going from a small town to social media stardom. She has discussed the impact of mononucleosis on her life and why she hated college and dropped out of it. The book also deals with mental health struggles, friendship, social media, etc.

Meghan began podcasting with Don’t Blame Me! with Meghan Rienks in March 2017. In this weekly advice podcast, the internet personality and actress gives her hilarious, blunt, and truthful wisdom on topics such as mental health, relationships, and sex.

In late February 2020, Meghan complained that her secondary YouTube channel had been hacked since the first week of January, and the video platform did not help her much to reclaim the channel. She took her frustration with YouTube public through a tweet. Many content creators and supermodel Gigi Hadid also voiced their support for Meghan on social media.

Later, YouTube agreed to communicate with her on the phone and this was sorted out, but Meghan had to lose out on all the content uploaded on the channel. As of June 2020, her secondary channel, moremeghann, did not have any content. 

Meghan Rienks wanted to become an actress since her early childhood, and dreamed to make it big. She took formal training in acting to become a professional actress. Starting with TV series Side Effects (2013), she has appeared in Shipping Julia (2014), Flhaunt (2015), The Honest Show (2015), Freakish (2016-2017) and Mr. Student Body President (2016). She starred as Piper Morley in the 2018 film The Honor List. Alongside her social media career, she appeared in a number of sketches on AwesomenessTV’s channel, including IMO (In My Opinion).

Meghan was born on August 4, 1993, in San Francisco, Calfornia. She is the only child of her parents. Her mother is active on twitter by the username MamaRosette.
