Merritt Patterson is a Canadian film and TV actor, a dancer and model. She gained recognition with her role of ‘Olivia Matheson’ in the ‘ABC Family’ series ‘Ravenswood,’ and also as ‘Ophelia Pryce’ on ‘E! Network’s’ soap opera ‘The Royals.’ Born and raised in British Columbia, Canada, she took part in the dance competitions and theatrical productions from the young age of 11. At 15, she appeared on commercials, and at 16 years, she won ‘Teen Model Search’ from among 10,000 competitors. When her height posed difficulties in the way of a modeling career, she turned towards acting. Starting with minor roles, Patterson made her movie debut with the film ‘The Hole,’ followed by appearances in ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief’; ‘Radio Rebel’; ‘Rufus’ and other films. Her performances in the series ‘Ravenswood,’ and ‘The Royals’ brought her appreciation and roles in films including ‘Primary,’ ‘Wolves,’ ‘Unbroken: Path of Redemption,’ and series such as ‘The Art of More,’ ‘Motive,’ and others. She has also portrayed major characters in several ‘Hallmark Channel’ TV films including, ‘A Royal Winter,’ ‘The Christmas Cottage,’ ‘Christmas at the Palace,’ among others.
