Nathan Corddry or Nate Corddry as he is popularly known is an American actor who has worked in numerous films and TV shows. Born in Massachusetts, the youngest of three siblings, he veered towards acting at a young age when he saw how much attention his older brother and sister were getting because of acting in school plays. His high school drama teacher left a lasting impression on him and school plays laid the foundation for his acting. After majoring in communications, he followed his brother into show business. One of his first jobs was in ‘The Daily Show’ where he became a correspondent. His brother was already a correspondent there and the two even appeared in the show together several times. Corddry then charted his own course starting with recurring appearances and going on to become a lead cast member of productions such as ‘Studio 60 on The Sunset Strip’, ’Harry’s Law’, ‘Mom’, and ‘Fosse/Verdon’. Apart from films and television Corddry also performs regularly on stage.

Career
One of Nate Corddry’s first appearances on television was in an episode of the ‘Late Night with Conan O’Brien’ in 2002. After which he was seen in ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’ and ‘Guiding Light’. He got his first major break with the ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’ in 2005. His elder brother, Rob, too was a correspondent for the show and Corddry joined him as a correspondent. This stint got him a role in Aaron Sorkin’s series ‘Studio 60 on The Sunset Strip’ in 2006. The series was cancelled after 22 episodes but Corddry’s performance made him stand out as a versatile actor.
In 2009 Corddry was seen in the recurring role of Gene Stuart in the TV comedy ‘United States of Tara’. In 2010, he landed a lead role in the TV drama ‘Harry’s Law’. The Emmy nominated series was cancelled after the second season, again Corddry’s performance in the series stood out.
It was also in 2010 that Corddry gave voice to the character of ‘Chief of Staff’ in the film ‘Yogi Bear’. The film also had Anna Faris in a lead role. The pair came together again in 2013 when Nate Corddry was cast in the first two seasons of the popular TV sitcom ‘Mom’. He played the role of Gabriel a restaurant manager and the love interest of the main character Christy played by Farris. Among his other film roles, were Leif in ‘Ghostbusters’ (2016) and Dan in ‘The Circle’ (2017).
Nate Corddry’s love of reading made him create a successful podcast series called ‘Reading Aloud’. Corddry himself selected a work of fiction or an essay for the podcast and performers like Alison Pill, Aya Cash and Jimmi Simpson read the work aloud. The series ended in 2016 but left a large volume of valuable work.
Corddry also co-wrote and produced a short mystery film ‘You Are Not Alone’ in 2016. He himself played the lead role in the film.
Corddry continues to perform on stage in prestigious productions. He went on the ‘Broadway National Tour’ with ‘The Graduate’. He has also done ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and ‘Hamlet’ with the ‘National Shakespeare Company’ and performed for 9 seasons at the ‘Williamstown Theatre Festival’.
In 2019, Nate Corddry was seen playing the real-life character of famous award-winning playwright Neil Simon in the mini-series ‘Fosse/Verdon’. Corddry considers this the role of a lifetime saying that these kind of roles did not come often. He researched Simon’s character in detail listening to Simon’s interviews every morning before the shooting so that he could get the accent right.
In 2019, his comedy film ‘Standing Up,Falling Down’ was premiered at the Tribeca film festival. In this film he stars with Billy Crystal and Ben Schwartz. In the same year, Corddry joined the cast of HBO miniseries ‘Perry Mason’ in a recurring role.

Nate Corddry was born on September 8, 1977, at Weymouth, Massachusetts, USA.He is the son of Steven Corddry and Robin Corddry née Sullivan. His father was a Massachusetts Port Authority Official. Nate was the youngest of three kids.
He studied at the Weymouth High School. Corddry’s desire to get into acting came from watching his sister Laura and brother Rob garnering a lot of attention as members of the Weymouth North High School Drama Club. Following his siblings, he joined the drama club. Corddry considers his high school drama teacher Jan Smith the biggest influence in his life. When she retired, he asked the school to name the school stage after her.
As a young boy, his first job was to deliver the local newspaper ‘The Patriot Ledger’. He would walk from door to door at six in the morning delivering the paper. The experience taught him accountability and discipline which became important assets as an actor. He also worked as a dog washer for a brief period, a job he came to dislike.
He graduated from Weymouth High School in 1995 and then went to study at the Colby-Sawyer College at New London and majored in Communications and graduated in 2000.
It was assumed that Corddry is dating actress Jessica Rene Russel as he posted a picture of both of them together on Instagram on Valentine’s day 2017.
