Neptune is an American You Tuber and a musical artist whose real name is Dylan Friedlinghaus. He began his career as a You Tuber at a young age as Dynamite Dylan and gained a lot of fame. His fame increased even more after he released a song with You Tuber Jake Paul and became part of his You Tube collaborative Team10. He later collaborated with rapper Post Malone to release another single titled You which again became massively popular. He then began his independent journey and chose the name Neptune with the solar system becoming his main source of inspiration. Since then, he has released more singles including Outcast which is about Pluto.

Neptune began his You Tube career early around the age of nine in 2013 by posting toy and video games review and gained a lot of fame. He posted song cover on his channel too. He also gained fame by becoming part of Jake Paul’s Team10 (a team of social media influencers) on You Tube. In 2017, he released a single Video Games. He rose to further fame after he collaborated with Jake Paul and released a song Dynamite Dylan and Jake Paul – No Competition (Official Video) on his channel in late 2017. The song became massively popular and was streamed a couple of million times on Spotify. Its video currently has over 23 million views on his You Tube channel (which he has renamed as ‘Neptune and Jake Paul – No Competition (Official Video))1.

In February 2018, Neptune collaborated with Grammy-nominated recording artist Post Malone to release yet another single titled You. The song once again became a success and spent eight weeks on the Billboard Pop Digital Song Sales Chart peaking at #14 and also stayed seven weeks on the Digital Song Sales Chart, peaking at #30. On his You Tube channel; its video has been viewed over 42 million times.

Later, he parted ways with Team10 to start his independent journey and craft music around the solar system. Neptune, was thus born. In the beginning of 2020, he released his single Outcast, a song written specifically about Pluto highlighting the feeling of being left out. The song is the lead single for the project Neptune’s Shiny Demise which will feature 14 songs for the planet’s 14 moons. He went on to release more singles in 2021 including Fallen Angel, Lullaby and Strawberry Lemonade. His other singles include Numbers Up (2018), Cool Being You (2018) and Too Young (2019). The official lyric and official music video of all the songs are available on his You Tube channel Neptune which has a subscriber count of 314k. His videos have gained over 97 million views on all his videos combined.

Neptune was born as Dylan Friedlinghaus on 10th December 2004 in California, United States to Meagen and Ryan Friedlinghaus. His father is the owner of the world-famous autobody shop, West Coast Customs in Burbank, California. Neptune’s family also includes his brother and sister. He began singing around the age of 8-9 and took voice lessons from Evelyn Halus. He began writing his own music all due to encouragement received from the family friend, rapper and Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am (William James Adams). He was hugely inspired by the music of English singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran.
