Nina Earl is an American former college basketball player and the wife of ‘NBA’ player Russell Westbrook. Russell now plays as a point guard for the ‘Oklahoma City Thunder.’ Nina has previously played for the ‘University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Bruins’ women's basketball team of ‘Pac-12 Conference.’ A four-time varsity winner, Nina had an outstanding career in the sport and had earned her numerous trophies and titles. At the ‘UCLA,’ she played at all positions on her team and was regarded as one of the fastest players of the time. Nina and Russell were college sweethearts and were on the same basketball team. They got married in 2015 and have three children. Nina has now retired from sports but has become an entrepreneur. She owns a children’s entertainment center and a gift boutique in Oklahoma City.

Rise to Fame
Nina played basketball for her high-school varsity team. She concluded her high-school career with an exceptional performance of 2,291 points, 906 rebounds, 298 assists, and 544 steals. She was a 4-year varsity basketball letter winner and was awarded an athletic scholarship to the ‘UCLA.’
As a ‘UCLA’ freshman, Nina was eventually promoted to be on the first ‘All-American’ team and had participated in the 2006 ‘CIF 3AA’ championship. Her freshman career includes 27 games and an average of 15 points, which improved in the subsequent years. In her junior year, Nina earned a mention on the honorable ‘All-America’ list featured in publications ‘Street & Smith's’ and ‘Rise.’ During her senior year, Nina participated in the 2007 ‘CIF’ title game and played brilliantly, scoring 35 points.
Nina has earned the titles ‘CIF Player of the Year’ and ‘Cal-Hi Sports All-State’ twice in her career. She is a three-time league ‘Most Valuable Player’ (MVP) title winner. She was the ‘MVP’ in the ‘CIF’ versus ‘City All-Star’ game. Nina also actively participated in track and field activities. She had competed in the 4×400-meter relay and the 400-meter event. In 2006, she played for the ‘Finest Basketball Club’ and led her team to win the ‘Adidas Tournament of Champions.’
Nina is the founder of ‘The Little Ark,’ a community that helps children and their parents spend some quality time together. She has always been passionate about helping others achieve their personal goals.

Nina was born Nina Ann-Marie Earl, on January 16, 1989, in Upland in Southern California, to Michael Earl and Jennifer Lyons. She grew up with her three brothers, Michael, Jonathan, and Benjamin. ‘Pro Football Hall of Fame’ safety Kenny Easley is her cousin.
Nina attended the ‘Diamond Ranch High School’ in Pomona, California. She then majored in psychology (with a minor in English literature) in 2011 from the ‘UCLA’ and later earned a master’s degree in clinical psychology with a specialization in marriage and family therapy from the same university. Apart from sports, Nina displays a keen interest in music and food. She can communicate in sign language.
Nina and Russell have known each since their ‘UCLA’ days. Both of them played for the university's basketball team. The two started dating in 2007, and Russell proposed to his lady love with a beautiful solitaire worth $700,000 on September 3, 2014. The six-piece elongated cushion-cut diamond ring was an exclusive piece made by renowned celebrity jeweler ‘Jason of Beverly Hills.’ They announced the engagement through an ‘Instagram’ post.
Nina and Russell got married on August 29, 2015. The outdoor wedding was a star-studded event held at the famous ‘Beverly Hills Hotel.’ Nina chose two gorgeous dresses for her wedding day. The first dress was designed by Vera Wang, while the second was created by Monique Lhuillier.

Started in 2012, the foundation works for underprivileged children. Every year, around Thanksgiving, Nina and Russell organize an event at the ‘Boys and Girls Club’ in Oklahoma to provide meals to needy children on behalf of their organization.
