OMI is a Jamaican pop singer best known for his hit song "Cheerleader". The song was later remixed by many other singers, including German DJ Felix Jaehn. Currently signed to Ultra Music, he released his debut studio album titled ‘Me 4 U’ in 2015. Till date, the affable singer/songwriter has sung several singles both as a main and featured artist. From rapping during class breaks and writing music at the age of 14 to becoming one of the leading contemporary pop superstars, OMI has come a long way. Touched by music in his childhood, he got his early inspiration from his late father who gave him the necessary lessons and tools before departing from the world. Since then, the Jamaican artist has been exploring the field by himself, coming up with new and innovative lyrics and songs. Besides singing, he is also passionate about other aspects of making music. On a personal note, OMI was raised alongside his three siblings. He is very close to his mother and siblings and always makes it a priority to spend quality time with them.
