Pablo Schreiber is a popular American actor who has done many roles in films, television shows, Broadway and Off-Broadway plays. He became very famous after his classic role as Nick Sobotka in HBO's critically acclaimed ‘The Wire’ and George ‘Pornstache’ Mendez in ‘Orange is the New Black’. He is the paternal half-brother of the famous American actor Liev Schreiber. Pablo Schreiber was born in a hippie commune in Ymir, British Columbia, Canada. Due to his father's great interest in literature, he was named after the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. His parents moved to Winlaw, British Columbia when he was six months old and they separated when he was 12. He moved to Seattle, Washington with his father. After graduating from high school he joined the University of San Francisco with an intention to play basketball but failed to get selected into the team. Later he joined Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pablo graduated in 2000 with a degree in Theatre. Pablo Schreiber is a dog lover and enjoys spending time with his pets.
