Paul Khoury Biography

Paul Khoury was born on September 6, 1975 in the Northern Territory of Australia. He is of New Zealand origin from his mother's side. He has an older brother and a younger sister named Olivia Copeland Khoury. His father worked at a mine in a remote town, but his mother moved the two children to Melbourne during their teenage years to provide better opportunities for education and work.

After relocating to Melbourne, Paul Khoury teamed up with some of his high school friends to form the band ‘Gravel’, which went on to perform successfully at local events. He performed as the bass guitarist of the band. However, he first gained media exposure in 2002 when he participated in and won the 'Cleo Bachelor of the Year' award. He subsequently landed small roles in Australian television shows like 'Blue Heelers' and 'Razor Eaters' in 2003. In 2006, he was selected as a commentator for 'Crown Australian Celebrity Poker Challenge' on Fox8, following which he got the opportunity to work with television legend Bert Newton as an announcer for 'Bert's Family Feud' on the Nine Network. He left the show the following year to work on the international project 'Coffee Lovers’ Guide to Italy', which was shown on cable television around the world on Foxtel’s Lifestyle Channel and Asian Food Channel among others. In 2009, he served as the presenter of the television series 'Australian Poker Hero' and the next year, became the host of one of the richest poker events in the world, 'The Aussie Millions'. He continued to host the latter show till 2015 and became the lead anchor for the 'Asia Pacific Poker Tour' in 2016. He has now established himself as one of the leading poker commentators internationally and is involved with 441 productions in New York City.

The rumors of Paul Khoury dating 'Twilight' actress, Ashley Greene, began to spread in September 2013, even though around the same time he was linked to singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus as well after the two were spotted leaving a party together in a private car. Neither Khoury nor Greene addressed the rumors directly at the time. Also, labeled by the media as a serial dater, Greene was thought to be uninterested in a serious relationship with Khoury. Nevertheless, they continued to spend time with each other privately and in public. In December 2016, Greene accompanied Khoury back to New Zealand to meet his mother's family. On December 29, 2013, he finally proposed to her with a vintage diamond engagement ring at the bottom of the famous Bridal Veil Falls during a romantic stroll. She accepted the proposal immediately and they both soon made the news public via their Instagram accounts.

During an interview with 'People' two months after their engagement, Greene said that not much had changed in their relationship as they were "best friends". In the same interview, she admitted dating Khoury since 2013 and praised him for being "extremely romantic" and communicative. She again told 'People' in July 2017 that the two were enjoying being engaged and were not in a hurry to get married. The couple eventually got married one year later on July 8, 2018 during a black-tie ceremony at the Nestldown retreat near San Jose, California and during the nuptials exchanged vows that they had written themselves. The bride and the groom reached the rustic outdoor venue in a trolley to meet about 120 guests who were waiting. The wedding ceremony was attended by their close family members and a number of a-list celebrities from the entertainment industry including Liam Hemsworth, Zac Efron, Rob Pattinson, Brittany Snow, Lauren and Aaron Paul, and Evan and Ashlee Simpson-Ross. After the wedding, the newly married couple posted the black-and-white photobooth pictures from their wedding on their Instagram accounts.
