Phyllis Fierro Biography

Phyllis Fierro was born on 23 July 1960 in the United States of America. When she was 16 years old, she was introduced to Ralph Macchio by his grandmother. Ralph was 15 years old at the time, and the two quickly became best of friends. Phyllis then spent the rest of her teenage years with Ralph before focusing her attention towards pursuing a career in the field of medicine. Meanwhile, Ralph went for a screen test at the age of 19 and made his acting debut in 1980. After appearing in a couple of films and television series, Ralph received his big breakthrough in 1984, when he was roped in to play Daniel LaRusso in the martial arts drama film, The Karate Kid. Phyllis Fierro, on the other hand, had chosen a career in the field of medicine. After successfully completing her college education, she started working as a nurse at a local hospital.

Phyllis Fierro and Ralph Macchio decided to enter the wedlock 11 years after they were first introduced to each other. Though it is not clear whether they started dating right away, speculations were rife about Ralph’s ‘long-term relationship’ with Phyllis at the time of their wedding. Ralph and Phyllis exchanged their wedding vows on April 5, 1987, when they were 25 and 26 years old respectively. The two have been married ever since and are among Hollywood’s most adorable couples of all time.

Ralph celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary by renewing his wedding vows. In an interview to a popular daily, Ralph had said that he wanted to celebrate his 25th wedding anniversary in a grand manner to let others know that it is indeed possible to make a Hollywood marriage work. He also said that his wife deserved such a celebration for having gone through so many things along with him.

Phyllis and Ralph are blessed with two children - Julia Macchio (born in 1992), and Daniel Macchio (born in 1996). Both Julia and Daniel followed in their father’s footsteps to establish themselves in the field of entertainment.

Julia has appeared in several films, such as Girl Most Likely, Across Grace Alley, and Stella’s Last Weekend. Julia is also a trained dancer and has been dancing since the age of five. She has mastery over different styles of dances, including jazz, tap, ballet, and hip hop.

Daniel on the other hand became an actor and composer. He is known for working in films, such as The Haley Project, That Was Then, and The Wrecks.

Phyllis Fierro has so far managed to keep herself away from the limelight. Ever since her wedding with the famous Hollywood actor, the mother of two has maintained a low profile. She is not active on social media and her personal interests are best known to her star husband and children. She currently lives in Long Island, New York along with her husband Ralph Macchio.
