Poppy Montgomery Biography

Poppy Montgomery first appeared in the 1994 movie ‘Tammy and the T-Rex’. She then did the movie ‘Devil in a Blue Dress’. Soon after this, she got featured in the drama series ‘Party of Five’ and ‘NYPD Blue’ in 1996. The same year, she played Jennifer Lukens on the series ‘Relativity’. Then the actress played roles in the films ‘Dead Man on Campus’, ‘The Other Sister’ and ‘Life’. In the year 2001, Montgomery did the miniseries ‘Blonde’. The following year, she was cast as Samantha Spade in the drama ‘Without a Trace’.

The actress then appeared in the television movies ‘Murder in the Hamptons’ and ‘Snow Wonder’. In 2011, Montgomery began playing the role of Carrie Wells in ‘Unforgettable’. Four years later, she acted in the TV movie titled ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered from Paris, With Love’. After this, she played Angela in the TV film ‘A Surrogate's Nightmare’.

Poppy Montgomery was born as Poppy Petal Emma Elizabeth Deveraux Donaghue on June 15, 1972, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, to Nicola and Phil Donahue. She has a brother named Jethro Tull and four sisters: Rosie, Lily, Daisy and Marigold.

Coming to the actress’ love life, she dated actor Adam Kaufman from 2005 to 2011. During this time, Montgomery gave birth to his son, Jackson Phillip. After separating from Kaufman, the actress started dating Shawn Sanford. In 2013, she gave birth to his daughter, Violet Grace, followed by a son, Gus Monroe, in 2014. Montgomery and Sanford got married on Chinese New Year in Disneyland, in presence of their children. Montgomery is active on Twitter and Instagram. She holds dual citizenship (Australian and American).
