Porschla Coleman Biography

Porschla Coleman was born on August 14 in Gulfport, Mississippi, USA. She became passionate about modeling at a young age. At the age of 17, she left her hometown and moved to New York City in order to pursue a career in modeling. Subsequently, she was spotted by a modeling agent who gave her an opportunity in modeling. Coleman went on to model for some of the most popular fashion brands and posed for famous photographers. In 2003, she appeared in the popular television show ‘Star Search’ where she was one of the finalists. She has also appeared in TV shows, such as ‘Khloé & Lamar’ and ‘The Morning Blend.’ Though she had a successful modeling career, she decided to quit modeling to shift her attention towards philanthropic activities.

Porschla Coleman works with ‘The Jason Kidd Foundation,’ which was founded by Jason Kidd in 1996. The foundation aims at providing better education. It also ensures students of all ages have access to the tools required to succeed in life. Coleman currently serves as the Executive Director of ‘The Jason Kidd Foundation.’ She also works closely with a charitable organization called ‘The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’ (LLS), which is a voluntary organization committed to fighting blood cancer. Coleman was selected to be a part of the organization’s fundraising campaign called ‘Man & Woman of the Year,’ which takes place annually. The campaign is a community-based competition which occurs over a period of ten weeks. During the competition, the selected candidates are required to help raise funds to honor local children who are blood cancer survivors. At the end of the competition, candidates who have helped raise most funds are declared ‘Man & Woman of the Year.’ Apart from taking part in various fundraising campaigns, Coleman also uses her social media accounts to help raise funds to fight cancer.

Porschla Coleman started dating Jason Frederick Kidd in 2008. On January 24, 2010, Coleman and Kidd were blessed with a son named Chance Kidd. Following a 13-month-long engagement, Coleman and Kidd decided to tie the knot on September 10, 2011. Upon her wedding with Jason Kidd, Coleman became the step-mother to Trey, Miah, and Jazelle who were born from Kidd’s previous marriage with actress and journalist Joumana. In 2012, Coleman and Kidd were blessed with a daughter named Noah Grace Kidd. On November 19, 2017, Porschla Coleman gave birth to her third child, a daughter named Cooper Anne Kidd. Coleman, who is fond of cooking and fashion designing, came up with a clothing company, inspired by her kids. She is active on social media, including Twitter where she has more than 4,000 followers.
