Renée Estevez is an American actress and writer best known for her regular appearance as Nancy in the television show ‘The West Wing’. Being the youngest and the only daughter of actor Martin Sheen, she grew up on movie sets while traveling with her father and spent most of her childhood watching actors on the sets day in and day out. It comes as no surprise that her childhood experiences inspired her acting career. After making her debut in the ‘CBS Schoolbreak’ special ‘Babies Having Babies’ in 1986, she made appearances in many television shows and feature films. She made her first feature film appearance in the slasher movie ‘Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers’ in 1988. Her acting career primarily involves small roles in major films and the occasional lead roles in some small-budget movies. Despite this, she has managed to get consistent employment in the industry. She got married to Jason Thomas Federico, a professional golfer, in 1997. The couple got divorced in 2011.

Renée Estevez made her acting career debut in 1986, starring in a CBS Schoolbreak special, ‘Babies Having Babies,’ for which she won the ‘Michael Landon Award’ at the Young Artist Awards in 1987. The most popular movie of her career so far has turned out to be the cult favorite ‘Heathers’ (1989), in which she portrayed the role of geeky Betty Finn. She played the secondary roles in several movies including ‘Shattered Spirits’ and made an uncredited appearance in the director's cut of the movie ‘Lethal Weapon’ (1987). She was also featured in two late 1980s’ slasher films – ‘Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers’ (1988) and ‘Intruder’ (1989). She played the role of the girl Molly in the former film and the role of the first victim Linda in the latter.
She has guest-starred in various TV shows, including ‘Growing Pains’ (1985), ‘MacGyver’ (1985), ‘ABC Afterschool Specials’ (1972), ‘Red Shoe Diaries’ (1992), ‘JAG’ (1995), and ‘The Division’ (2001).
She is best known for her role in the TV series ‘The West Wing’, in which she portrayed the role of Nancy, an office assistant of President Josiah Bartlet in his Oval Office. The role of President Bartlet was played by her own father, Martin Sheen.
