Rich the Kid, born as Dimitri Leslie Roger, is an American rapper, songwriter, actor, and record producer. He has released one studio album, three singles, seven mixtapes, and 11 collaborative mixtapes till date. His most popular work so far is his album ‘The World Is Yours’, which was released in 2018. He is currently signed to Interscope Records. Born in Queens, he grew up listening to Jay-Z, Nas, Notorious B.I.G., 50 Cent and 2Pac and later began listening to T.I. and Young Jeezy. His early life was tumultuous as his parents divorced when he was young and he had to move to Atlanta with his mother, leaving behind his father in New York. He was educated at Elmont Memorial Junior – Senior High School. Interested in pursuing a career in music from a young age, he began performing under the name “Black Boy the Kid” as a teenager. He then went on to take the stage name "Rich the Kid.” In March 2016, he started his own record label ‘Rich Forever Music’. Talking of his personal life, Rich the Kid was earlier married to Lady Luscious and had two kids with her before divorcing. Currently, he is dating Tori Hughes.

Childhood & Early Life
Rich the Kid was born as Dimitri Leslie Roger on July 13, 1992 in Queens, New York City, the USA. He is of Haitian descent and grew up speaking Haitian Creole. After his parents separated, he relocated with his mother to Woodstock, near Atlanta, Georgia where he was raised by her single-handedly.
He was educated at Elmont Memorial Junior – Senior High School in New York. He grew up listening to various genres of music and dreamed of becoming a singer one day. As a teenager, he adopted the stage name Black Boy the Kid. Later on, he changed his mind and chose the moniker Rich the Kid.

Career
In 2013, Rich the Kid released his first solo mixtape titled ‘Been About the Benjamins’. Later that year, he released a collaborative mixtape series called ‘Streets On Lock’ (volume 1 & 2) with Migos.
In 2014, he came out with two solo mixtapes titled ‘Feels Good 2 Be Rich’ and ‘Rich Than Famous’ that featured artistes like Rockie Fresh, Yo Gotti, Young Thug, Kirko Bangz and RiFF RaFF. The singer also released the single "On My Way" and the collaborative mixtape ‘Solid Foundation’ with Quality Control the same year.
His first release in the year 2015 was ‘Still On Lock’, a collaborative mixtape with Migos. In August that year, he released the 14-track project titled ‘Flexxin on Purpose’ that featured collaborations with Ty Dolla $ign, Young Dolph, Fetty Wap, Peewee Longway and 2 Chainz.
The artist collaborated with iLoveMakonnen and released the mixtape ‘Whip It’ on November 26, 2015. Rich the Kid then released ‘Dabbin' Fever’, a mixtape that was released on Christmas Eve and featured artists like Kodak Black, Migos, Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y.
In March 2016, Rich the Kid founded his own record label under the name Rich Forever Music. The record label’s first signed artiste was Famous Dex who was followed by J $tash. The label's first release was ‘Rich Forever Music’, a 15-track compilation featuring Offset, Lil Yachty, OG Maco and Skippa Da Flippa. Shortly after its release, J $tash parted ways with the record label.
Rick the Kid next released his ‘Trap Talk’ mixtape. The tape, featuring Kodak Black, Ty Dolla Sign, PartyNextDoor, 21 Savage and Migos, was released in April 2016. In March 2017, he released ‘The Rich Forever Way’ mixtape. In May that year, he appeared as a featured artist on the song "Bankroll."
On June 9, 2017, he publically announced that he got signed to Interscope Records. Later that month, he came up with a compilation mixtape titled ‘Rich Forever 3’. The rapper next released his single "New Freezer" on September 26, 2017. This song, featuring Kendrick Lamar, was certified platinum in March 2018 by the RIAA.
In July 2018, Rich the Kid signed the first ever female artiste Airionna Lynch to his record label. The same year, he got featured on Jax Jones and Mabel’s non-album single "Ring Ring". His label will soon be releasing its fifth compilation mixtape titled ‘Rich Forever 4’.

Rich the Kid released his debut studio album titled ‘The World Is Yours’ on March 30, 2018. This album includes the hit singles "Plug Walk", “New Freezer”, "Dead Friends", "Too Gone", "Lost It", "End of Discussion" and "Early Morning Trappin". Feud with Lil Uzi Vert
Rich the Kid and Lil Uzi Vert’s much publicized feud started on the social networking platform Twitter when the former tweeted to the latter about providing him a position in his label Rich Forever Music. To this, Uzi Vert responded by saying "Boy I'm not signing for 20racks".
On February 26, 2018, Uzi Vert provoked Rich the Kid by stating he looked like a “crab,” to which the former responded by saying that Uzi Vert was "tryna look like me."
Soon after, Rich the Kid released a track directed at Vert titled "Dead Friends". Uzi Vert later responded to the release with his song "Rich Forever Leaked" to which Rich reverted by saying "Fuck that nigga”.
Personal Life
Rich the Kid was married to Antonette Willis aka Lady Luscious and fathered two children with her. In March 2018, his wife filed for divorce, seeking full physical custody of her kids whilst giving the singer visitation rights as well as joint legal custody.
While filing for divorce, Willis accused Rich the Kid of cheating on her with model Blac Chyna as well as singer India Love. Willis later also claimed that her husband had forced her to have abortions regularly.
Shortly following the filing of the divorce, Rich the Kid started dating Tori Hughes aka as DJ Tori Brixx.
In June 2018, the singer was hospitalized following an invasion at Hughes' home. Later it was reported that several men had entered Hughes' house and forcibly demanded money. Rich the Kid came forward and confronted them. He was beaten up by those men who later rushed away from the house, taking a "significant" amount of money and valuables with them.
