Robin Packalen is a Finnish teen pop artist who released his first official single, ‘Frontside Ollie,’ at the age of 13 and became an instant sensation. His fans call him the “Justin Bieber of Finland.” He is known for his mismatched bicolored sneakers and energetic performances. He won the Finnish nationwide youth singing competition called ‘Staraskaba’ at the age of 10 and represented his country at the ‘New Wave Junior Contest’ in Moscow the following year. His debut album, ‘Koodi,’ sold over 100 thousand copies in Finland and was certified “quintuple platinum.” This was closely followed by his second studio album, ‘Chillaa,’ which topped the ‘Finnish Albums Chart’ within a week. His other studio albums include ‘Boom Kah,’ ‘Boombox,’ ’16,’ and ‘Yhdessä.’ He performed live for the first time in Alaharma, where he had the audience spellbound by his energetic style of performing. He has been awarded the ‘European MTV Award’ for the ‘Best Finnish Act’ and has also been nominated for the ‘MTV Europe Music Award’ for the ‘Best European Act.’ He is one of Finland’s 70 all-time best singers and has also been Finland’s most “Googled” person thrice.
