Stardom did not come to Rosa overnight. Hers is the story of hard work and dedication from a very young age. After being trained at the ICA and Ballet School of Norma Garcia, she became the youngest soloist in the Dominican National Ballet in 2002. This was considered an outstanding feat in itself. A couple of years later, Rosa started her modeling career. Her first assignments were for the famous ‘DR businesses’.

Determined to make a name, Rosa set sail to the United States in 2006. Her work back at home had garnered some interest in the international fashion circuit. Her career took a sharp upward spike after setting foot in the United States. She was immediately offered assignments in leading fashion magazines including XXL, King, Blackmen and Smooth. To make matters even better, she was voted XXL magazine’s ‘Eye Candy of the Year’ in 2009. She has also been adorned with other titles such as the Model of the Year by the Urban Model Awards in 2010. She was arguably the most sought after model during 2009-2012.

With so much attention on her, it was only natural that she would be spotted by the music and television industry. She starred in the music videos of songs like Juelz Santana's "Back to the Crib", Mike Posner's "Drug Dealer Girl", Drake's "Best I Ever Had", The DEY's "I Need You", Chris Brown's "I Can Transform Ya", Mario's "Break Up", and Booba's "Caesar Palace" and Harvey Stripes's - "Must Be Money" and spiced up the hotness quotient of the songs quite a few notches.

She is a fitness freak and has started a YouTube channel where she uploads training and exercise videos. She has also started her own fitness and clothing line called CossaMia in 2012.

Rosa was born on April 30, 1984, in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Not much is known about her family except that she has a brother, DJ Smoke, who is also in the entertainment industry. Rosa started her dance training at the early age of four and by the time she turned 18, she was creating ripples in the ballet dancing circles. Currently, she is rumored to be involved with American Hip Hop artist, French Montana. Beautiful, sensuous, and humble; Rosa Acosta has all the qualities to win anyone’s heart.

For a model of her stature, Rosa has led a fairly scandal-free life. Her affairs have been on the front page of tabloids, though. She dated Rob Kardashian for some time and even appeared on ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ as his lover. She was also pregnant with his child but had a miscarriage. Questions about her sexuality were also raised after her hot and steamy relationship with Nikki Mudarris on the sets of “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood”. The two were seen indulging in quite a bit of PDA and kissing. Rosa later admitted in an interview that she indeed has a thing for ladies.
