Ross Smith first gained popularity with his six-second videos with his grandma Pauline Kana on Vine. One of his videos wherein he blocked his granny’s basketball shot went viral and amassed a huge fan following for the duo. For his videos on Vine, he also collaborated with another creator named Patrick Barnes. By the time Vine shut down in 2017, he had gained over 250,000 followers. A few weeks later after Vine closed down, he had a viral hit on Facebook. Currently, his Facebook page RossSmithvideos is followed by over 11 million followers. In 2019, Ross and Granny also had their own show Savage with Ross & Granny which was produced by Whistle Sports. The series is available on Whistle Sports’s Facebook Page.

His You Tube channel, which he launched in July 2014, has 2.43 million subscribers. His videos include Granny’s life hacks, public pranks, product review and grandmas trick shots.

He is also quite popular on Snapchat where his account @pillowsweat has gained over 3.29 million subscribers. In the 10th Annual Shorty Awards held in 2018, he became one of the finalists for the Snapchatter Of The Year award.

Ross Smith was born on 2nd September 1992, in Columbus, Ohio, to Diana Kana and Mike Smith. His grandmother’s name is Pauline Kana. For his education, he went to Olentangy Orange High School and then attended the College of the Holy Cross (2010-2011). Thereafter, he pursued Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Dayton (2011-2014).

He has played football from his school days. In his high school, he was a two-year captain and helped improve the performance of his team. He was also a sprinter on the track team and played lacrosse. At the University of Dayton, he was as a starter for three years for his college football team. Later in 2015, he signed up with The Potsdam Royals, the professional American football team from Potsdam, Germany and played for them for few months.

He is in relationship with YouTube star Steph Pappas. He loves making and editing videos. His favourite film is Edge of Tomorrow and his favourite actor and actress are Tom Cruise and Haley Berry. Jason Derulo is his favourite singer. He likes eating Sushi.
