Ruth Bradley is an Irish actress known for her roles in the drama series ‘Primeval’, ‘Humans’, ‘The Innocence Project’ and ‘Love/Hate’. On the big screen, she is known for starring in the Australian movie ‘In Her Skin’ that earned her the Best Actress award at the 2010 Milan International Film Festival. A daughter of the IFTA-winning actress Charlotte Bradley, Ruth is herself an IFTA-winner; she won the IFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'Stardust' in 2007. Born in Dublin, Ireland, she lived in Canada for a few years as a child. Her passion for acting inspired her to study drama at Trinity College Dublin. She, however, dropped out within three weeks and moved to UK to pursue acting full-time. She made her debut in 2002 and has since established herself as a much sought-after TV actress. Till date, the talented actress has acted in over 15 TV series, five TV movies, and a handful of films.

Ruth Bradley’s first screen appearance was in 2002 in the series ‘Ultimate Force,’ followed by her role in the TV movie ‘Sinners.’ A year later, she appeared in a few episodes of ‘The Clinic’. Then following her appearances in some episodes of ‘Love is the Drug’, the actress featured as Maggi in the TV movie ‘Showbands’. Her career gained momentum in 2006 when she played the role of Antoinette Keegan in the miniseries ‘Stardust’ for which she earned an IFTA Award. Her projects in 2006 also included the TV series ‘Legend’ as well as the drama ‘The Innocence Project’. The former garnered her an IFTA Award nomination for Best Actress.
In 2008, Bradley starred in the lead role of Molly in Gerard Stembridge's Irish thriller ‘Alarm’. The movie also featured Aidan Turner, Tom Hickey, and the late actress Anita Reeves. The following year, she had an appearance in the Australian drama movie ‘Plus One’ and ‘In Her Skin’. Directed by Simone North, the flick ‘In Her Skin’ is based on the real story of the murder of a teen girl, Rachel Barber, by her former neighbor Caroline Reid Robertson. Bradley’s performance as Robertson earned her the Best Actress Award at the 2010 Milan International Film Festival.
Also in 2009, the actress earned her second IFTA Award nomination for her performance in the TV series ‘Rásaí na Gaillimhe’. Her career escalated with subsequent roles in ‘Love/Hate’ and ‘Primeval’. In 2012, Bradley rose to further fame with her role in the British-Irish monster flick ‘Grabbers’. She was eventually awarded an IFTA Award for Best Actress in a Feature Film. That year, she also acted in the miniseries ‘Titanic’.
From 2015 to 2018, Bradley portrayed the character of DI Karen Voss in the television series ‘Humans’. During this time, she also had roles in the series ‘Rebellion’, ‘The Fall’, and 'Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams'.

Ruth Bradley was born as Sharon Ruth Bradley on 24 January 1987, in Dublin, Ireland. Her mother is the IFTA-winning actress Charlotte Bradley. Her sister is the IFTA-nominated actress Roisin Murphy. Bradley’s father and brother are named Bernard and Ferdia, respectively.
As a child, Bradley studied at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin. She left school while preparing for her final exams in 2003 to act in a play. Later, she dropped out of her university after three weeks to pursue a full-time acting career.
