Ryan Kent launched his channel RyansLyfe in January 2013. The channel was later named Ryan Minaj before again being renamed Earthling Ryan. He started publishing fun and entertaining videos which ranged from vlogs and gay makeup routines to pet videos and reactions.

His videos like 'If Ariana Grande Was SIRI', 'A Fairly Gay Makeup Routine', and 'Reacting to KPOP Boy Grroups for the First Time' became fairly popular on Youtube. The first video, with over 1.1 million views, featured a scenario that imagined popular singer Ariana Grande being Apple’s SIRI. The second video, amassing over 45k views, featured the YouTuber showcasing a gay makeup tutorial. The third video, with over 826k views, was a reaction video.

The most recent video on Minaj’s channel is titled ‘My last youtube video’. It was published on April 4, 2018. In the video, he shared the reasons why he is quitting the social platform.

In October 2021, he made a return to his channel (now named Earthling Ryan) and posted a video titled “2 years later…” It is also the only video available on the channel as all other videos have been removed.

Ryan Minaj was born Ryan Kent on October 19, 1994, in Illinois, USA. He has two sisters. He was earlier in a relationship with YouTube phenomenon Nicholas Laws. His ex-partner runs a channel titled ‘Nick Laws’. The channel has over 484k subscribers as of now. Minaj is good friends with web star Matthew Lush. An interesting fact: Nicholas Laws was previously dating Matthew Lush!
