Safina Waldau is a Danish actress, best known for playing Simone in the popular Danish TV series ‘Theo & Den Magiske Talisman.’ The series, which was aired in December 2018, was viewed by more than 700,000 people. Waldau is the daughter of world-renowned actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who played Jaime Lannister in the American fantasy drama television series ‘Game of Thrones.’ Waldau can often be seen making public appearances alongside her famous father. Apart from acting, she also does modeling and is currently signed with ‘Lindberg Management.’ She is also popular on social media platforms, such as Instagram where she has more than 18,000 followers.

Early Life & Career
Safina Waldau was born Safina Niviaaluk Coster-Waldau in 2003 in Denmark, to Nikolaj and Nukâka Coster-Waldau. She grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark, along with her older sister, Fillippa Coster-Waldau. Safina Waldau was exposed to performing arts early in her life as her parents had established themselves in the field of entertainment. Her father had made his Hollywood debut in 2001, while her mother had appeared in a couple of Greenlandic and Danish films by the time Safina was born. Safina Waldau developed a passion for acting and started working towards improving her acting skills. She made her acting debut at the age of 15 in the fantasy-drama family Christmas calendar (TV series) ‘Theo & Den Magiske Talisman.’ She appeared in 24 episodes of the series which was aired from December 1 to December 24. Directed by Peter Gornstein, ‘Theo & Den Magiske Talisman’ went on to become a successful series as it was viewed by more than 700,000 people. Subsequently, Waldau became a household name in Denmark and she started appearing in other television shows, such as ‘Theo & det magiske Talkshow - med Jannik Schow.’ She guest-starred in ‘Theo & det magiske Talkshow,’ appearing in seven episodes from December 2 to December 24, 2018. In the same year, she was also seen in a musical TV movie titled ‘DR's store juleshow.’
Apart from acting, Waldau also works as a model and is currently signed to ‘Lindberg Management.’ She is also famous on social media platforms. Safina Waldau is currently focused on improving her acting skills as she aspires to become a successful actress.

Family & Personal Life
Safina Waldau is of mixed ethnicity as her mother is of Inuit, German, and Norwegian descent, while her father is of Danish origin. Her mother, Nukâka Coster-Waldau, is a Greenlandic singer and actress. In 1990, she took part in the 39th edition of ‘Miss Universe’ pageant and finished nineteenth, giving Greenland its highest placement thus far at ‘Miss Universe’ pageants. She started her acting career in 1998 when she played Trommedanser in a Greenlandic and Danish film titled ‘Heart of Light.’ She made her TV debut in 2004 and then went on to play a stage role in the theatre production of ‘Polaroid.’
Waldau is close to her father, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who was nominated for ‘Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series’ at the 70th ‘Primetime Emmy Awards’ for his work in the popular TV series ‘Game of Thrones.’ Interestingly, Nikolaj Waldau does not allow his daughter to watch ‘Game of Thrones’ as he does not want her to see him make out with another woman. Safina Waldau is also close to her older sister, Fillippa Coster-Waldau, who is best known for appearing in a short film titled ‘The Girl and the Dogs.’ Safina Waldau currently lives in Kongens Lyngby, Copenhagen, Denmark along with her parents, older sister, and two pet dogs.
