Sakina Jaffrey is an American actress who is popularly known as the White House Chief of Staff, ‘Linda Vasquez,’ in the Netflix original series ‘House of Cards’. She comes from a highly reputed family—her father, Saeed Jaffrey, was an iconic Indian-British actor, and her mother, Madhur Jaffrey, is an actress as well as a food and travel writer. Beginning her acting career in the late 1980s, Sakina Jaffrey has appeared in numerous films till date, the popular ones being ‘The Perfect Murder’, ‘Masala’, ‘Cotton Mary’, ‘The Mystic Masseur’, ‘The Guru’, and ‘The Truth About Charlie.’ She has often shared screen space with her parents and children. After exclusively focusing on a film career for several years, she ventured into television as well.
