The theft took place on February 19, 2015, and Sarah was arrested after a four-month investigation by the Bedford police. Sarah produced several pieces of evidence to prove her alibi. She showed plane tickets, pictures, and cell-phone records to prove that she was in Miami at the time of the theft. In spite of this, Sarah had to spend 56 days in jail. A public defender was arranged for her, and she was granted bail after paying a fine of $8,000. After being released from jail, Sarah posted a picture that showed her wearing a T-shirt with her mugshot printed on it. The photo posted on ‘Instagram’ soon became viral across the internet. On February 10, 2016, the Bedford jurisdiction dismissed all charges against Sarah.

Sarah was born Sarah Irene Snyder, on July 30, 1995, in the US. She spent a few of her initial years in New York and later moved to California to pursue her career.
