He began his acting career with a significant role in the film ‘No One Killed Jessica’. Based on the infamous Jessica Lal murder case, the film was a commercial success. Its reviews were mostly positive as well. Other works in his career include the sports drama film ‘Ferrari ki Sawaari’, where he played the role of a cricket coach. He had a role in the psychological thriller film ‘Phobia’, which despite receiving positive reviews was a commercial disappointment. Mishra also earned acclaim for his work in the TV series ‘P.O.W. - Bandi Yuddh Ke’. He portrayed Squadron Leader Imaan Khan in the series. The show aired from November 2016 to March 2017, for just a single season.
