Seo Ha-joon is a South Korean actor. Born and brought up in Seoul, Seo started acting during his school days and participating in plays and musical theatres. He made his acting debut with the 2013 series ‘Princess Aurora’, where he was seen playing one of the supporting cast members. He made his film debut in the next year with a low budget film ‘Goodbye... and Hello’. In his second TV series titled ‘Only Love’, Seo got the rare chance to play the main lead role as a physician, wherein he delivered an award-winning performance. Acceptance in the industry wasn’t easy so he worked hard and improved his skills as an actor. In 2016, Seo delivered yet another award-winning performance in the series ‘The Flower in Prison’ and in his mid 20s, he became one of the best young actors in the industry. He faced a massive controversy in July 2017 involving obscenity, in which he later accepted his fault but it did threaten his career.

Childhood & Early Life
Seo Ha-joon was born on September 19, 1989 in Seoul, South Korea. A lover of TV series and movies since his early days, he always wanted to become an actor. What further fuelled his desire was the support he received from his parents.
Seo started acting during his middle school years and by the time he was out of high school he had become a rather fine performer and indulged himself in doing full time theatre.
Becoming a part of many successful theatrical productions, he received a wide fame courtesy his stint with the musical theatre show ‘Dead Poets Society’, which was based on the American film of the same name. Confident about his talent, he started auditioning and struck gold in the year 2013 after many days of struggle.

Career
In 2013, Seo appeared in the romantic melodrama ‘Princess Aurora’, where he played a minor character. The series ran into controversy during its early days for different reasons, but all the publicity somehow worked in its favour and it became a major hit, and the entire cast, including Seo, benefited from the success.
Seo played a major role in his debut film ‘Goodbye..and Hello’ in 2014. It was a small budget film released on a limited scale. But this further amplified the fact that all the years of theatrical experience had made Seo a pretty competent actor and he could take on any role with ease.
In the very second series of his career ‘Only Love’, Seo got the chance to play the leading role. A romantic drama which revolved around a love triangle, the series was a major success and got Seo the first award nomination of his career. His role as a physician was widely accepted and he became a household name, and ended up winning the New Star Award at the SBS Drama Awards that year.
In 2014, Seo made an appearance in the variety show ‘Laws of the Jungle’, a documentary styled reality show where the celebrities experience living among the wild for about a week. The next year he became a part of the most successful variety show in the South Korean history, ‘Running Man’.
2016 had Seo playing leading role in the romantic comedy drama ‘My Son in Law’s Woman’, where Seo played a boxer who also happens to be the lover of the main lead actress. The series was a success and further presented Seo ahead as a highly skilled actor with a lot of variety.
In 2016, he played a key role in the series ‘Flowers of the Prison’, for which he was showered with award nominations and he ended up winning ‘Best New Actor’ and the ‘Excellence Award’ at the Korean Drama Awards and MBC Drama Awards respectively.
He ended the year with an appearance on the variety show ‘King of Mask Singer’ on the 81st episode titled ‘Adults Don’t Know Peter Pan’.
Personal Life
Seo Ha-joon was caught into a nude cam controversy in 2016, which harmed his flourishing career in a big way.
In July 2017, he admitted that he couldn’t take the humiliation anymore and openly said that it was indeed him in the video. Contrary to what he had believed, he received massive support from his fans as the honesty he displayed was a rare feat among the celebrities. Seo also said that as much as he wanted to clear that up in public, everyone knew it was him, and there was no point in denying it.
Seo has kept mum about his dating life and says that he has very little time to date or to fall in love with someone.
