Shaughna Phillips Biography

Shaughna Phillips was born on April 11, 1994, in England. Her mother’s name is Tracy. She has a brother named Callum. Both of them were featured on the Love Island spinoff show Aftersun. Through her brother, she has a nephew, who makes regular appearances on her Instagram page.

Shaughna Phillips became active on her Instagram page in 2013, and it did not take her long to draw considerable traffic there. Her social media fame garnered the attention of the producers of Love Island, which eventually led to her casting on the show.

Shaughna Phillips was one of 10 original inhabitants of the Love Island house in 2020. Set in Cape Town, the winter edition of the show had Irish presenter Laura Whitmore as the host for the first time in the show’s history.

In the week five of the show, Shaughna Phillips had a date with new islander Jamie Clayton from Edinburgh and competed in the ‘Rumpy Pumpy’ challenge as part of the Blue team, ultimately winning it. But she was dumped from the show on day 33 for failing to couple up with a male participant.

Her departure from Love Island and perceived betrayal by Jones became a popular topic of conversation on social media in the following weeks. The fiery and beautiful Londoner had become a fan favourite due to her open and earnest personality during her stay at the villa.

Since her stint on Love Island, Shaughna Phillips’ brand value as an influencer and Instagram model has increased by several times. According to an article published in The Sun in March 2020, she now makes around £4,500 for sponsored Instagram posts, which is significantly more than what series winners Finn Tapp and Paige Turley earn.

Always forthcoming about her weight loss journey, Shaughna Phillips stated in an interview that she had dropped four stone in the last few years. She was subjected to some harsh remarks on her weight while she was on Love Island. Recently, she told the media that she had managed to get down to size 10 again after the show.
