Shu Qi, born as Lin Li-hui, is a Taiwanese model and actress. She has appeared in a number of films till date, the popular ones being ‘Sex & Zen II’, ‘Viva Erotica’, ‘Young and Dangerous: The Prequel’, ‘A Man Called Hero’, ‘If You Are the One’, ‘The Assassin’, ‘The Foliage’ and ‘If You Are the One 2’. One of the highest paid actresses of the Chinese entertainment industry, Shu Qi has appeared in Playboy magazine’s Chinese edition as a model. She has also done quite a few television projects and has even acted in several music albums. Talking about the actress’ other works beyond acting, she has been serving as the brand ambassador of Frederique Constant since 2008. She has also been representing Bulgari as its brand ambassador. Coming to Shu Qi’s awards and accolades, she has won several honours and titles in her career. She received the ‘Best Actress’ award at 10th Asian Film Awards for ‘The Assassin.’ She won ‘Best Supporting Actress’ award at 35th Golden Horse Awards function for ‘Portland Street Blues.’ Besides these, Shu Qi received ‘Best Supporting Actress’ award at the 2nd Golden Bauhinia Awards function for her performance in ‘Viva Erotica.’ She has been also been honoured with Hong Kong Film Awards several times.

Shu Qi starred in the 1996 movies ‘Sex & Zen II’, ‘Street Angels’ and ‘Viva Erotica’. After this, she did the flick ‘Those Were the Days’. In the year 1998, she appeared in a number of movies including ‘Bishonen’, ‘The Lucky Guy’, ‘The Storm Riders’, ‘Young and Dangerous: The Prequel’, ‘Young and Dangerous 5’, ‘City of Glass’ and ‘Portland Street Blues’. A year later, the actress was cast in the film ‘Gorgeous’ in 1999. The same year, she played the roles of Mu Xiuluo and Ah Nan in the movies ‘A Man Called Hero’ and ‘Metade Fumaca’ respectively.
Shu Qi then acted in the films ‘Millennium Mambo’, ‘Beijing Rocks’, ‘Visible Secret’ and ‘Martial Angels’ in 2001. During that year, she also appeared as Little Goldfish in the drama series ‘The Duke of Mount Deer’. Then in 2004, she did the drama ‘Romance of Red Dust’. From 2005 to 2014, the Taiwanese beauty was cast in a number of movies such as ‘Seoul Raiders’, ‘Home Sweet Home’, ‘My Wife Is a Gangster 3’, ‘Blood Brothers’, ‘If You Are the One’, ‘City Under Siege’, ‘If You Are the One 2’, ‘The Second Woman’ and ‘Gone with the Bullets’, to name a few.
She then played the roles of Nie Yinniang and Ye Fenfen in the films ‘The Assassin’ and ‘All You Need Is Love’ in 2015. The following year, she appeared as Gu Jia in the flick ‘My Best Friend's Wedding’. After this, she did a cameo in the movie ‘Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back’.
