Squeezie started his first channel on YouTube in May 2008 and it was only focused on games like ‘Dofus’ and ‘Dofus Shield’. The channel has not been active in years as on January 8, 2011, he debuted his official channel ‘Squeezie’. The first few videos posted were gameplay and video commentaries like ‘Video commentée: Crysis 2’, ‘Video commentée: Call of Duty Black Ops’, and ‘Pourquoi je n'aime plus Modern Warfare 2?’. The videos fetched more than 300k viewers each and slowly started putting Lucas at the forefront of online gameplay. On February 11, 2012, he posted the video ‘Une journée dans la peau de WaRTeK 2’, which became the first video to get over 4 million views.
He also started making videos that involved funny skits. The growing popularity of videos like ‘Les Différents Type De Profs’, ‘Le Virus Licorne - Robot unicorn attack - Un jeu WTF’, and ‘Un Moment Débile #3 - Travail, Toilettes, Piano, Anges du fps’ propelled him to his first major milestone when his channel reached half a million subscribers on June 6, 2013. On November 8, 2013, he published the video ‘1 Million D'abonnés’, declaring that his channel had 1 million subscribers. He became the youngest-ever French social media personality to achieve this feat. In the next few years, Squeezie continued on his success path and now has more than 18.7 million subscribers. ‘Overwatch Rap Battle’ is one of his most viewed videos.
He has also collaborated with other YouTube musicians like Bigflo and Oli to create music videos. His music style is based on comedy and follows rap and hip-hop genres. ‘Squeezie - Freestyle The Dictionary (ft Bigflo & Oli)’ and his single ‘Freestyle of Self Mockery’ have been viewed by millions. In March 2017, he started the web tv ‘LeStream.fr’ on Twitch with French comedian Cyprien. The live stream broke all records and is one of the most viewed French streams ever. Also a musical artist, Squeezie is also the voice behind songs like “Freestyle de l'autodérision,” “Top 1,” “Pas tout seul,” and “Influenceurs.” In 2020, he released his first album titled ‘Oxyz.’
Squeezie was criticized by many in April 2017, for posting a video where he was seen reacting to uncomfortable cyberbullying videos. Although his intention was only to record his reactions, he was contacted by an association involved with anti-bullying. He removed the video and took it upon himself as a chance to promote awareness about cyberbullying with the video ‘Stop Harassment’.
Squeezie was born Lucas Hauchard in Vitry-sur-Seine, Val-de-Marne, France on January 27, 1996. He lives in Paris, France, and was in a relationship with YouTube personality Gwendoline ‘Sweetie’ Asquin. Not much is known about his parents.
On November 16, 2017, he also announced the release of his first book ‘Tourne la Page’. He was also one among several YouTube stars who joined together and performed John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ in remembrance of the victims of the November 13, 2015, Paris attack. Lucas has a pet dog named ‘Natsu’ with whom he often posts pictures on Instagram.
