Stephen Bear got his first break on the reality TV series ‘Shipwrecked: The Island’ (2011-2012). Although he gained some popularity he didn’t become a household name overnight. Recognition came when he appeared as part of the main cast of ‘Ex on the Beach’ (2015–2016). He was a part of the show alongside his ex-girlfriends Megan McKenna and Vicky Pattison. Stephen Bear showed that he was a seasoned reality TV star and gained in popularity by meddling and creating drama in the third and fifth seasons of the show. He left the show after the third season to be a part of the hugely popular ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in 2016. He gained audience support and popularity and ended up winning the show.

Since winning the eighteenth season of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, Stephen Bear has appeared as himself on the series ‘Loose Women’ and the TV movie ‘Celebrity Ghost Hunt Live’. He is also the host of the show ‘Just Tattoo of Us’. He has also released a book named ‘Bear’s Necessities: A Simple Guide To Life’, which is an insight into his life and guide to becoming a reality TV star. He also gained massive fame on Instagram where he managed to woo over 1.7 million followers. However, he is no longer active on the platform. He is also popular on Twitter and has over 323k followers on his account.

Stephen Bear is synonymous with controversies because of his on and off-camera behavior. He has had spats with ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ host Emma Willis going as far as to comment that it took him three months of rehab to get over her bad behavior on the show. Added to that, he has often been seen posting nude pictures of himself on Instagram and even leaked pictures from a Skype video. More recently, he was accused of cheating on his girlfriend Charlotte Crosby, who broke up with him after he allegedly got too close to Yasmin Wells. He initially denied the claims, even going as far as demanding an apology through a Snapchat video. But the drama kept unfolding as Bear himself tweeted on December 10, 2017, that he was canceling all upcoming book signing events for his book ‘Bear’s Necessities: A Simple Guide To Life’ as he was “Going through a really bad time atm”.

In 2020, Stephen was accused by his former girlfriend, Georgia Harrison, of leaking their sex tape online. This led to his arrest in January 2021 and all the while he denied the allegations against him. However, in December 2022, he was found guilty of voyeurism and was sentenced to 21 months in prison.

Stephen Bear was born on January 15, 1990, in Walthamstow, London, to Stephen Bear Sr. and Linda Bear. He dated ‘Ex on the Beach’ co-star Vicky Pattison but the couple separated as Bear claimed that he was in love with his ex-girlfriend Megan McKenna. The star then had a relationship with Lillie Lexie Greg, which did not last as he cheated on her with Chrysten Zenoni. He then dated Chloe Khan while in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house and Jemma Lucy after leaving the house. Bear admitted to dating ‘Geordie Shore's’ Charlotte Crosby in early 2017, but the pair broke up in December 2017.
